M Y A F F I L I A T I O N S Org Life!! By the time students reach college, the goal of creating global citizens of the future becomes much more a reality. Students are encouraged to be effective communicators, knowledgeable and responsible citizens and life-long learners. As a college student, I certainly believe that joining an organization would help satisfy these goals. Clubs and organizations support students' personal unique talents, and officers of organization learn valuable leadership skills hence being a part of this organization is something that one would really be proud of. My orgs!!! Communication Research Society Communication Research Society is an organization exclusive for Communication Research majors. CommResSoc seeks to promote their discipline through career orientation seminars, workshops and exhibits. UPD Unesco Club United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization University of the Philippines Diliman Club (UNESCO UPD Club), a duly recognized university-wide organization based in the College of Arts and Letters of the University of the Philippines Diliman and a recognized UNESCO Club by UNACOM Philippines. At Campus level, UNESCO UPD Club encourages the civic awareness of people to bind them to their historical community and to the specific cultural values of which they act as guardians. The organization also reconciles its members with the need to preserve those values and make their importance, dignity, and unique originality clear to all. At the international level, UNESCO UPD Club helps spread a desiren for understanding and cooperation by organizing face-to-face discussions with other people of all origins and exchanges of information, studies and individuals, as well as through the countless contacts and ties that the modern world makes possible, that is, by exercising a liberla minded influence beyond national frontiers. SUMS + UP The Society of University Math Students-University of the Philippines is a university-recognized organization based in the Colege of Science. Founded in 1998, the organization has grown into a society of over 100 students, not only from the College of Science but also from various colleges in the university. It has conducted several Math Camps for elementary and high school students in several parts of Metro Manila and math appreciation seminars for college students in the Diliman Campus. With its members' excellence in academics and its success in promoting the advancement of mathematics, SUMS+UP is now one of the premiere organizations in the Diliman campus.
