Chynablue's T-Girl Getaway

Today's date is;

Well hellooo there. I see you found your way here now, so let's get started, shall we??

I have had several major changes in my life and although, most were not pleasant, to say the least, they have allowed the freedom to find and be the real person that I am!!! The one that has been hidden for soooooo long now!!! Honey, I'm just plain tired of playing the stupid games, just to satisfy others minds and to allow them to sleep better at night!!

I am now, and always have been, a gender outlaw. First off i'm not some clueless want-a-be or never-was-been, rather, I am a transgendered (TG) person, and I don't have any plans to have total gender reassignment surgery done. I am not a crossdresser/ transvestite and I am not an entertainer or a drag queen, although, I LOVE and totally RESPECT them for their talents, extremely high self esteem and the ability to be out there on that stage!!! I love seeing all the shows and truly enjoy the diversity that is afforded me in each and every show!! I have made many great aquaintenses with a number of these lovely ladies and that, my dear sisters, I wouldn't give up for all the ruby slippers in OZ!!!

However, all that being said, I have been given the gift of one to many x chromasones (ah genetics, ain't they wonderful). I call this a gift, because, for me at least, it is a very special attribute and one I shall treasure forever!! It allows me to be extremely comfortable in either role. When I wish, I can be butch as any big, bad ass on the block. Conversely, I can also be as femme as any gg (real woman) there is!! What it all comes down to, is that, unlike most people I am not forced to fit into the "NORMAL" little pigeon hole that dictates what you should wear, how you should act, who you should be with, ect... It is truly a wonderful thing and one that I don't have too, nor wish too, make any excuses for, ever!!! YEA!!!!! Below is a pic of just what my smear showed, yepppers, that's what the docs call 47 xxy. It's me, it's me......

Too many times, I, like many, if not most, of my sisters out there, have tried to take the path of least resistance to satisfy both society at large and family, with little or no success and a whole lot of pain and suffering for my choices.

But no longer, my sisters!!! No longer do I give one big hairy rat's ass what anyone thinks about it!!!! I AM ME!!!!

Welcome out into the world;

CHYNABLUE

And yes my wonderful sisters, the hair is all mine (well ok, the color may just be a (cough, cough) shade or two lighter than my natural color (Now it is actually more reddish. I was just tired of being blonde and during the winter months, it seems to work for me. And I have found that I like it quite a lot.), but the rest is all mine and natures doing)!!! i've let it grow out for the last 5+ years and I'm very happy with it now!!! although, I do own several fabulous wigs, I really don't have the need for them now (oh well, they are way toooo hot anyway!).

Further down on this page, you will find a number of links to my additional pages, such as my links page, my pics page and my music (discography) page. Please feel free to click on these links and wander around my little home on the web and hopefully find some things that will interest you.

Now, some things that I really love, besides (well sugars, you know heheheeee), are cooking, my computers (I love techno anything!!! This whole world has been laid open bare and is now just a keystroke away, just like me my lovelies!!!) I spend way, way too much time tapping my keys, but hey, it's awesome!!!

I also love landscaping, my video games (ok, so when it comes to video games, I'm still 12 yo), my pussy (feline you sillys, well the other one needs attention too, heheheee.....), collecting (so eclectic its not funny. my place is really starting to take on the look of peewee's playhouse) and on and on the list of things that fill my life and make it sooo worth it!!!

My interests are varied and far reaching. This is just to let you, that care anyway, know that just because I am what and who I am, doesn't mean that I am only into being femme, ok?? I feel that myself or any of my sisters can have a real life, get it?? Just being tg, ts, tv/cd, or anything else is never, never enough. Unfortunately, I see way too many people getting SOOO caught up in being tg, tv/cd ect... and forgetting that these are only the way we are and not everything we are. We, like all people everywhere, are real and with that comes the facts of life, like there is life outside and we must live it!! I love being femme and this is me all time, but I also love many, many other things too!!

I have been asked numourous times if I was "full-time", well that answer is fairly straight forward. I am me all the time 24/7. I look pretty much the same whether you see me at the store, home, wherever and no, I don't wear dresses, skirts, ect.. all the time, but then again, who does?? Sometimes jeans and such work well too. Although, I do love to get really fixed up as much as possible and especilly for that special someone ;) (now taking applications, heheheheheeee!!!) And I do sooooo love sexy, seductive things!!! See hon's, I am a real person!!! Real feelings, real human being and just like others, well, simply put, I'm very much for real!!!

So, my sisters, get out there and be PROUD of what and who you are, but don't let that be everything, ok???

Now my sweets, while you are here anyway, would you please sign my quest book?? I really would love for you too!! It's soooo kewl to know who has visited me on my pages. Thank you sooooo much ahead of time!

Femail me here, my lovelies!! I can't wait to hear from you!!! I really will try and answer in as timely a fashion as i can!!

chynablue4unow@yahoo.com I'm right here my lovelies, just a keystroke away!!

Ok, so where do I go, when i'm out and about?? Well, although, I don't drink. I do still love to go out. I personally go to, and love, two of the clubs here in town that treat most anyone that enters their doors with kewl love and respect, whether your a t-gurl or not (thats getting to be a hard combo to find these days).

(special note: please allow your mouse to hover over any of the local club and store banners momentarily for the addresses of these establisments.)

The corner of 11th. street and 7th. Ave. Huntington, WV

Alrighty folks, I was at the "new" Polo club last night and let me tell you somethings; First off, the club, located on the corner of 7th ave. and 11th street, is much more open and spacious. One of the owners, Bill, was kind enough to give me the grand tour and to show me not only the existing pluses, but also some insight as to what he is invisioning for the new place and I will say here and now, given the time, energy and love nessecary, this place is a sure winner in my book!! Now, the bar is almost a z-shape type with plenty of seating and standing space. There is a pool table, but with lots of room around it so that the players won't be held up by people gathering around it and is well lit. Now, there is a lot of tables/chairs around the stage area and even a few booths along one wall. Believe me, the main bar area is quite spacious and as to the shows, there seemingly won't be a bad seat in the house. There is a decent sized stage and the sound and lighting guru Mr. K. was there laying out some ideas, so that should prove to be a great thing, as he has done a number of the area clubs and always does a wonderful job of making them come alive!! There is both a juke box and also house music and even a big screen tv as well as several video games and darts. As to the gaming machines (the video slots/keno state lottery machines.), well for now they aren't there, but it's a good possibility that they will have them back in before long. Now, as a surprise bonus, I was shown the patio area, yes I said PATIO!! It is sooo nice that a local club will, once again, be graced by allowing the patrons to be able to go outside and enjoy a bit of fresh air with friends and/or lovers and it sounds as if there will be a second bar out there. This area is a pretty good size and has a privacy fence around it, so that while you are out enjoying the lovely summer nights, no one will be able to just wander up that way. That will be a grand place to spend time out on for sure!! The place is very clean, and knowing how much Bill cares, it will stay that way and he has already made sure that the bar is well stocked with your favorite beverages. The bathrooms are very clean and fresh decortated and painted. They have already been hard at work on even the outside of the building as well as the inside and more work is being done daily to make this a very quailty club.

Ok, as to the hours, I was informed that the hours of the Polo will be changed and that the club will be extending their hours. They open at 5pm and will be open until 2am!! This is great for many reasons but perhaps most importantly, because of the very close proximity of the Driftwood Lounge, that is only a half a block away!! Boys and Gurls, bar hopping is back in Huntington without having to drive back and forth!! For those that haven't been going out for that long, it used to be that way here and those folks (ahhhh hmmmmm, ok folks in my age bracket), that remember those days, know how much fun it can be to have several clubs with in a very short walking distance from one another and be able to wander back and forth. As the Polo just reopened in it's new location this past saturday, it is going though the typical stage of being the "new" bar. Well folks, just so you know, as it is owned and operated by Bill and Clint, they are the same folks that ran it in it's other location, the quality and good managment that got the Polo going before and kept it a great place to go to, is still going to continue and I for one, am very happy about that!!

Now the shows will still be held at aprox 10:30 pm and while I am not 100% sure yet, I would say that many of your favorite entertainers will be gracing it's stage on Fridays and Saturday nights!! But I know that this new place will certainly continue to bring in new faces as it did in the past as Bill knows everyone has to start somewhere and sooner or later, a true "star is born". This is yet another big kudo I hand to Bill, as he is very open to giving people a chance!! So, all that being said, I know that the shows will be every bit as great, if not even better!! I will post house cast names as they become available soon!! As to staffing, for sure Todd C. will be the lead mixologist behind the bar and from what I have heard someone new is coming in this week to share in the work load. Again, as further names become available, I will post them. But I am sure that whoever is working there will be a part of the family and work damn hard to make your evenings the best they can be!! And as always, the drinks are made with care, are innovative and you will most certainly find you get your moneys worth!!

Alrighty, it's time for my personal opinion of the "new" Polo Club. I think that while they are opening it during just about the slowest time of the year here for clubs, they will rise above all that and flourish! This is not someone new to the business or a fly-by-night operation, rather they guys are tried and true and know just what they are doing!! The location, parking (yes children, there is real parking there!!) and the building itself are all very good things and make this location very accessible. Now one thing that the regulars are very used too and that new partons will find out soon, this is a very "Cheers" like place and one that before long you will discover that people will quickly learn your name and your bound to both meet friends and make new ones!! This is what has always drawn me to the Polo club over the years and what keeps me coming back. Now with all the new ammenities and such, I am more than sure that not only will that tradition continue, but many will be finding themselves feeling a true part of a community. Everyone that works there and also many of the regular patrons go out of their way to be nice to everyone and to make them feel comfortable and right at home in no time!! So to finish, everyone, both local and out of towners alike, need to give this club their support and find out for themselves what makes the Polo a great community club and why so many of us feel quite at home there!! Come on out, whether it be a weeknight or a weekend and enjoy being with a great bunch of people and find yourself feeling right at home in no time!!

Hope to see each and everyone of you there very soon!! Kissessssss

The Polo Club has a new home folks!! It seems that the very long standing prior location, due to building regs concerning the state of the condition of the warehouse that sat upstairs from the Polo and possibly in part due to the health depts new offices right next door needing additional parking spaces, was no longer going to be allowed to stay open. Well as a very pleasent surprise to their many patrons, Bill decided that he would reopen the Polo in a new location, and honestly I feel a much better location in terms of geography, as they are now a half block from the Driftwood lounge, Huntingtons second longest running gay night clubs. This is, in my opinion, a much better way of helping to bring the community closer together and also gives the patrons of both these fine and established venues the ability to actually go "clubbing" or bar hopping, without having to drive blocks out of the way and then have the hassle of finding parking and such. Also, for weekends and special nights, the close proximity will give patrons an option and perhaps, an overflow so that if the crowds in one are too much, those that want too, will simply go to the other club. As the Polo and the Driftwood have maintained a friendly working relationship and have worked together on many projects for the local community at large over the years, this move will be nothing, if not great for all concerened!!

Ok, as to the line up on the employees, well that is still open at this time and if anyone knows, they aren't talking. hehehheeeee Ok Bill, keep your little "secrets" ;) heheheheee Just teasing you hon. Anywho, I will, as soon as I know, post all that info on here. Just know this, Bill has always picked great folk to cater to our party and clubbing needs in the past, so I am more than sure that he shall do so again!! As to the drag shows, the new location does have a stage already in place (the last club in there had live bands and such, so all that is pretty set up for shows now.) and from what I have heard so far, YES, the show will go on!! And again the close proximity of the two venues will benefit the gurls, as some of them do do shows at both clubs, this will allow them to be able to go from one club to the other without the previous hassles packing up the car and 3 or 4 blocks only to have to try and find parking somewhat close to the other club and all that mess (and as the driftwood starts reving up after 10pm, that is when close parking tends to be hard to come by.). Anywho, all this simply means that when opened, patrons of both clubs should be in for a real treat!!

Ok, the new location is on the corner of 11th. street and 7th. avenue. The Driftwood is located one half block to the east on the same (south) side of the street. I haven't yet been made privy to opening dates or times, but I would imgaine that as soon as the liquor commisioner and all that red tape that goes into this is done, it will be rolling quickly after that. I would also imgaine that the polo will find themselves wanting and needing to extend their hours a bit, as with the bar hopping that will most likely be occuring after they open, I have the feeling that the Polo's old closing times (usually around 12:30 or 1 am.) will be greatly extended.

Again, this is a great thing for everyone and everyone should get out and support this great venue in their new location!! Bill and his crew have always supported the local gay and trans community and have always treated all of us that enter their door, with the upmost respect and a very welcoming and warm attitude!! These are the kinds of attitudes that are sorely needed and people that exude them, should be supported as much as possible. Thank you Bill and great things with the new place!!

1121 7th. Ave. Huntington, WV

The Driftwood Lounge has been here for many, many years and is still going strong!!! Two nights a week they have drag shows and twice a week they have karaoke. They also are host to a swingers club that meets there usually once a month (usually the last week, but it varies, so call the club for the dates.). Those folks are soooo friendly and fun and it's a pleasure to party with them!! They have both male and female strippers from time to time, but you need to call the club for the dates. And of course all the holidays are covered with tons of fun and firvolity!! It is the kind of place that makes you feel right at home in a very short period of time. A kind of oasis for all of us to find in this desert of intolerance!! Well ok, anywho, it is a wonderful place and the people that run it and work there are the ones responsible for that.

Jimmy and Ed (a very special shout out to you sugar!! I won't call you "sugar pie" as you are not crusty in the least!!! Heheheheheheee teasing you a bit babe!!) are the regular bartenders (and are two very, very fabulous people in my close circle!!). They will always both make you feel comfy and right at home and that is something very special to all of us, let me tell you!! And trust me, you won't find two more understanding, hot, damn good looking and enjoyable mixoligists anywhere!!! Also, if your in the mood to party, they will most certainly fix you right up (while I don't drink (for real sweeties), those folks that do truly enjoy the liquid libations, that are fixed sooo expertly there!!
Missy has come on board from another club and is now mixing it up for you as well and doing a fabulous job of it!! She is a very friendly person and yet another one there that will not only make you feel right at home but will also tickle those brain cells with her liquid libations and marvalous mixes!! Missy has been a part of the local scene for a pretty good while now and has made quite a name for herself and the DW is very lucky, I believe, to have her as part of their family!! Welcome and enjoy your new home Missy!! Larry who owns and operates the bar is a most wonderful man as well and you just cant help loving him!!! Then on sat. nights David is is the table server and fridays and saturdays and Dale works the door. Trust me, this is one very, very great place to go!!!!

Now as a somewhat personal note to Jimmy, I have told you privately before, and now I'm going to do the same publicly, Thank you ever soooo much for being sooo understanding, and downright respectful, of my lifestyle choices and for allowing me to be me and not being critical and/or judgemental. That was, and is, just what I need!! THANK YOU BABY!!! (And as a personal note to you gurls that come here to party, know that this is the kind of treatment you get here, which is soooo rare as we all know!!!! "Can I get an AMEN sisters"?!?! Oh Hell Yeah, heheheheeee)

A special shout out to Jimmy Jo Bob, Todd and Richard (you know who you are)(Gawddddd, it is soooo amazing to meet folks that become true friends and accept you unconditionally!! Thank you sooooo much!!!)!!!

(As a side note, the parking there has gotten a bit odd lately (as the company that owns the lots on either side, have decided to get pissy about the whole thing.), so get there early for the best parking spots. And whatever you do, DO NOT park in either the fenced in lot on the west side of the club or esp. on the east side in the unfenced lot where all the truck trailers are parked, as they come and pick up those trailers at all hours of the day and night and if you are parked on either of those lots you are in the way and they WILL have you towed. The last person that I know of that was foolish enough to ignore the BIG signs ended up paying 75 dollars to get his car back!! This is not a joke, nor is it meant as a bad thing, rather it is just a very big reality. Please understand, the business that owns the lots is a 7day a week, 24 hour a day thing and they do have to get their trucks in and out of those lots at all hours and so understand, they are just mainly working folk, like most of us and if their trucks aren't rolling, they aren't getting paid. As to the west side lot, well now that was just fenced in to be pissy and that is a shame, but still, it does belong to that business, so it was their choice to do so. And it didn't do a thing other than make parking a bit of a pain, but hey, that's life sometimes.)
The entertainers ahhhhh, they are the BEST!!! These lovely ladies work soooo hard to make us feel totally entertained and trust me, they really do it for the love!!! Also, you can see most of these ladies from time to time at both the DW and the Polo. (Shout out to Miss Julia Deville (the show directress), Cherri Baum

[UPDATE as of 8/22/04; My sister and one of my best friends, CHERRI BAUM is now and for the next year, the new reigning Miss Driftwood 2004!!! She was crowned on 8/21/2004 after winning a very tough competition, that included Ieda Cox (wow, great effort baby and it was damn close between you two!!), Crystal Diamond, Tammy Faye and Jimmica Jo. I will say that all the gurls put on a fantastic show and did so with a full house!! The crowd truly showed it's appreciation for the awesome entertainment and after all that hard work that went into it, all the gurls deserve nothing but adulation and applause!!! Ms. Kianna Thoms, the former reigning Miss Driftwood, passed on her title to Cherri Baum in what was a magical ending to a very long and nervous night!!

Ok, while Miss Cherri held her compsoser well, this old gurl balled like a baby (ok, ok, so I'm emotional that way!! I think I was perhaps more nervous than Cherri, heheheheee.) and mine wasn't the only eyes that were full of liquid joy. I want to add here, that several others were helpful in this pagent run by Miss Cherri. First off, Gordon E. the dj at the DW and also a friend, for music mix mastery at it's finest and his wonderful support, Miss Bubbles and Miss Pricalla, for backing Cherri during her talent and also their support, two gentleman that wish to remain nameless that truely believed in us and who's support helped to allow for the dream to come true (you guys know who you are and what you did and for that, you know that what we made was made with love!!).

And a very very special thanks to someone that I tend to think goes unthanked far too many times, Larry Ransbottom, owner and operator of the Driftwood Lounge, for having such a fabulous pagent and for having weekly shows so that these lovely ladies have such a grand place to be able to showcase their talents!! Nothing but love and admiration for you Larry!!!!

And now, to my friend, my sister, my baby gurl, WELCOME to the ranks of the adorned, title holders, Miss Cherri Baum, Miss Driftwood 2004!!!!]

Bubbles (ahhhhhh, what can be said gurl... When your on it, you tear it up baby!!!), Priclla De Carlo (ahhhhhh gurl, quit trying to be a boy, it's just not working for you, heheheheheheeeee Honey, for real, just stay true to who and what you are and you will do fine baby!!) Liz Carrington (trust me sugar, it's all good!!!), Miss Coco Caine (Ok sister, for being sooo new at it, you are making a hell of a start and your makeup is the bomb baby!!! Keep it real and stay true to yourself!!),

Trixie Daily (ahhhhhhh such a little bear queen!!! Teasing you sugar!!)AND JUST IN:, BIG CONGRATS sugar on the new crown to add to you last big win, Miss Polo Pride 2003; Please allow me to introduce, the newly crowned: Miss Huntington 2003, WHOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!! Awesome sweetie!!!(way to go Trixie, that win took the local drag world by surpise!!! And after only 4 vanity tables hit the stage, heheheheee!!! And now baby, we will have your little ass around entertaining us for the next year for sure!!!), Maxine McKnight (hope to see you doing another show soon baby!!), Mirage A. Rae (your sweet little ass is being missed baby!!) Kiana Thoms (ahhhhhh sweetness, keep being you and twirl on gurl!!!), Sahvana Del Rae (baby, I do hope I didnt misspell your name, if I did, it's not personal sugar.), Joanne "Maxie" Morgan (Hell baby, we go back to almost the beginning hmmmmm!!! Luvs ya sissy.) Laura Tab (We hope to see you back soon!!! Yet another one back doing some shows!! Welcome back baby.), Casandra Carrington, Channel Breale, Erika Hart (which is also one of our sisters in r/l. So kewl!!!), and to all the other ladies, both new and old, that grace us with their wonderful presence!!

Our own Kianna Thoms has decided that she needs to spread her wings and head south for sunnier skies and is now in, I believe, Orlando, Fl.. As many of us have in the past, been drawn for many different reasons to extend our reach of the world and to perhaps embark on new and wonderful adventures, so goes our sister Kianna and with her goes my personal wishes for a full, safe and wonderful life ahead. I will indeed miss her, as will many here, and my biggest hope is that one day, in the not so distant future, she will come back to visit us and bring with her that wonderful smile, attitude and warmth that she has so graciously given so freely in the past. I really do miss you sister and I wish on the very best for you now and forever.

Also, a special shout to Justin Sane, drag king and my buddy (I sure miss you, but I hope your doing well out there now and that we will here back from you soon, ok baby??)!! I'm adding 2 new names now to the growing list. First off, Tammy Faye (She's our gospel gurl and is truly having sooo much fun!! Watch this one!!) and Katelyn Green (Katelyn is a ts gurl that is really coming out in a big way locally and I think will go far, good luck to you gurl and keep it real baby!!) Big Luvs and Hugz to all of you!!

[Now a word from me and this is solely my humble opinion; To the new gurls doing taking the stage, try and learn what you can, both by asking and by watching the preformers that have been doing this for a while now and esp. the ones that are walking off with the big tips. There is a reason they are doing just that. Actually several reasons.

One, and this is a biggie my sweets; get out of the drag room after your set (and pleaseeee, wear something your not going to be wearing on stage.) and mingle with the patrons. That way, they will get to know you and you will develop a following. Trust me my sweets, this really does go a long with customer relationships!! Just wander around and talk to different people at their tables and such. And remember to develop quick reflexes to avoid the grabby hands of certain admirers ;) hehehehehee.

Two, remember, you are emulating gurls out there and that is the face your giving to the public. Try your best to act as such (and nooooo dears, I'm not saying be prudish, stuck up or anything else like that.). Just maintain the face your wearing to the public through your actions and act the part of a lady. It really looks awful to see a bunch of "guys in dresses", hanging around and acting like a bunch of dudes with makeup on at a ballgame. The people that do go to see the shows, really do appreciate the trouble you go through to do what you do on stage and really, really want you to continue that illusion offstage as well while your in drag.

Like I said at the first, these are simply my opinions, but after many, many years of being out and about, I have seen quite a bit and have known many, many queens, both sucessful and otherwise. And the ones that are doing well, do the things that I have suggested to you above. And one more thing, pleaseeeeee gurls, remember; the reason you started doing shows was for the enjoyment of it and not for the money. You may make good tips, but it's not really a living for many. A select few can make enough to live on, but that's rare, and truly, in this area, not many will ever get to that point. I wish it was differnt, but in all reality, it never will be. Just have fun with it and do the very best you can do each and every time and it will be all good ladies!! :) ]

Now as to the one guy (yeah i know honey, you thought i'd forgot about you didn't you hon, hmmm?? NOT LIKELY) who keeps the place hopping and the latest music flowing, is the house dj G.FORCE, Gordon, aka, Mc Krakah Honkey.

He works there 5 nights a week, what with the shows and the karaoke. He really keeps the place jumping and handles the mc work wonderfully!! Its hard believe that you can have that much fun and still be horizontal!!

Gordon has become a very dear friend to me (and in my little world, that is truly something of an acomplishment, truly!!) and throughout some extremely trying times in both our lives, we have seemed to be able to somewhat help each other over the rougher spots. As a personal note to you Gordy, I am there for you each and every day and I do know that whatever may happen, you are there as well!! Hey gurl's, that is what real friendship is all about, ok??

As to Gordon's other interests, well no, not the ones that you get from Col. Sanders silly, rather his talents with graphic design and graphic manipulation. It seems that he has found a true niche in that field and is producing some damn fine work nowadays!! Also, his ability's at mixing music are moving right off the hook!!

I will here and now say, that I have been remiss by not adding Huntington's other club and showbar to this page. It was not meant as a slight, nor anything else like that at all. I added only the places that I personally go to regularly, and while the Stonewall is a wonderful club and offers grand entertainment, I just dont go there very often and don't wish to put things on here that might not be correct(again, that is just me my sweeties and nothing personal towards the club or the management.). So to Tim and to Kevin, please forgive me for not putting this on here before now.

Okey dokey, as the Stonewall has reopened now under new management, I must think that things there have returned to normal and that they are back to their regular days and hours of operations. For information on those times, shows and ect... clicking on the link below should take you to their homepage and also you can call them, they are listed in the book. (If I haven't listed the info correctly, please email me and let me know so I can make the appropriate changes.)

820 7th. Ave. Huntington, WV

The Stonewall club is a very nice dance club and showbar that is located here in downtown Huntington. It is divided into 2 seperate areas, the main bar has a huge dance floor and plays hot, hot, hot music to keep those toes moving all night and their bartenders keep the drinks flowing steadily!! And the other area is the newly renovated, Fire Island Cabaret!! The wonderful entertainers work it hard to make you happy and to keep the energy flowing!! The Stonewalls websight has all the info on the what's, when's and who's, so pleaseeeee go and check it out!! They do offer many special nights and shows and always aim to please!!

[UPDATE 8/22/04: As of this time, the Stonewall is closed, but hopefully will be reopening soon. {As of 10/19/04 it has been reopened and is up and running again.} While the reasons for the closing are not important, just know that many still support the need for additional gay/t-gurl oriented venues in this area. So called, "bar wars", drama and whatever else not withstanding, we all need to support and encourge gblt businesses and keep them all going. They are a part of our little world and give us all a place that we can go and feel comfortable at.]

Alrighty, now for the past few years, I have been volountering my time with the Tristate Aids Task Force. They are truly the only chairity organization that I know for sure, that gives 100% of the funds raised to the people that truly need it and not paying some ceo hundreds of thousands of dollars to run it. The laws regarding chairitable organizations, unless they have been changed recently, state that these organizations only are required to give 10% of their total intake of funds to the actual chairity and the rest can go for just about anything (ahemmm) related. Well, over the last 10 years or so, a number of the bigger chairities have been brought up on charges or are under suspicion or mishandling or misdirecting, funds.

Well the TSATF has not been doing this, rather, they make sure that their clients recieve all the help they need. Food and supplies are distributed to these clients and legal, medical and any other help is offered and given directly to those in need!!! This made this group very appealing to me, as I always want to give back to the community and they allow me an ability to do this and know that any work I do for them is for the betterment of those that truly need the help!! I am very proud of the work that the Task Force does and I am very proud that I can be a small part of that!! We do fun workshop/presentations at the local clubs, where we put out the information (and safe sex supplies, condoms, lube, and written information on the proper use of these items and their ablity to help prevent infection.) on safe sex, hiv/aids and other stds and in general, try to at least educate people on the causes, transmission and prevention of std and primarily hiv/aids. Personally, I believe in educating the public first. And then I believe it is up to each person to decide what is right for themselves, but to decide in an informed and educated way.

We also have several events throughout the year, the Aids Walk in the early spring, the Spring Fling and in the early fall, Big Mama's Pig Roast. All these events are both fun and informative and designed to help raise both money's and awareness. All the members of the Task Force work very hard in getting these events organized and are to be applauded for their tireless efforts!!

But to be applauded most of all, is the head of the local organization and the person that is totally responsible for putting everything together and giving of almost all of her free time (as she has a full-time plus job!!!). That person is,
Lisa Cremeans!!!
She works soooo very, very hard and if you see her out and about, please go up and tell her, thank you, as she is working for the whole community out of love!!! Also, every year many people not connected to the Task Force do their parts in helping to add to the events and through their selfless contributions really do make these events that much better!! Larry Ransbottom, the owner and operator of the Driftwood Lounge provides use of his employees, equipment and donates a lot of the beverages that are served. Jimmy Hobbs, bartender at the Driftwood most always donates his time and efforts and brings a lot of love with him!! Gordon Estes, DJ at the Driftwood, brings his DJ abilities and breaks his back setting up and taking down the equipment to bring music and mic work to the events!!

Now there are others that give of themselves at different events and I'm not slighting them at all by not listing their names here, rather I will simply say, to all of the volounteers and tireless workers and business owners/ companys that give of their resources, time, products and efforts, THANK YOU ALL!!!! We couldn't do this without each and every one of you!!! Thank you and bless you all!! So please, to all of you reading this and in this area, pleaseeee come out and help to support such a grand organization in all their efforts and events. Whether you give of your time, money or any other support, it is totally apprecated!! Hope to see you all at the very next event and everyone we have!!!

Now, as to shopping. HMMMMMM, i wonder if anyone else is into shopping ;) Well, i love it!!!! Yes, you heard me right, i love shopping!!! The internet has allowed many of us to shop in the privacy and comfort of our own homes and for me, at least, this is wonderful (although, I do go shop locally as well, it's just fun to shop at home as you can take longer and wander many different stores, so kewl!!!)

As long as you know your sizes and how to convert m-t-f sizing (simple, well as long as the designers stick with the same sizes, yeah well, good luck, heheheeeheee), you should be able to get most anything your heart desires!!!

Well, as to where I shop and what wonderful things I am able to find, I will direct you to my links page where you can find most things with a simple click of your mouse. Click on the link right below this and be trans-ported to a wonderland of fun and informative links. Enjoy and please don't forget to come back here to see me.

Below is the link to my discography page. This page is dedicated to one of my loves in this world and that is music in many forms. I have a lot of links and information on that page, so please go take a look and see if you might find some things that are of interest to you or perhaps something new.

Below is the link to my picture page. That page contains my pictures and I will continue to update it on a somewhat regular basis, as new pics become available.

Below is a small memorial to all my TG sisters and brothers and to all peoples that have passed through our world all too quickly.

To honor all my sisters and brothers, both in uniform and in civies alike. and to honor the memories of those we have lost from disease, hatred and war. It's time that we all (EVERYBODY in America), comes together and stop hating soooo much!!! You don't have to accept or condone our way of life, nor do you have to welcome us into your homes. Please just let us live our lives in peace and dignity and i promise, i won't try and make you feel pressured into accepting my lifestyle or that of my brothers and sisters, ok?? Please, please, just get over it, we cant help being tg, ts, cd/tv, gay or anything else, it IS what we are and not a choice. Besides i'm not asking you to stop being heterosexual and dressing gender "correctly", now am i?? After all, it IS what you are!! See how it all works when we try, hmmmm!?!?!
