Tyannal Manor encompasses just over three square miles of farm and woodland on the southern frontier of the tiny kingdom of Chybisa. About one third of the estate remains uncleared woodland and is a rich source of timber, game, and fur. The remaining 1,320 acres of fertile farmland produce mostly barley and oats, but smaller fields are set aside for wheat, rye, flax, and vegetables. The slopes above the banks of Elmith Stream are covered with meadow grasses during the Spring and the Lord of the Manor maintains a small pear orchard adjacent to the manor house.
Half of the fields lie fallow each year, serving as pasture for the village's beasts of burden and for the flocks of sheep and goats raised in the village. Swine are grazed in the margins of the forest that surrounds the cleared fields. The majority of the livestock raised in the village are the property of Sir Toma but most villagers maintain at least some animals of their own. Those who can afford it might place their animals in the care of Sir Toma's herders but most are under the watchful eyes of each householder's children.
In addition to Sir Toma Docord's manor house, there are 26 households within the village; seventeen are held by serfs, three are held by freeman farmers (two of these are yeomen), and three are held by the village's craftsmen. The innkeeper, the village priest, and the forester (who keeps a small hut in a forest clearing north of the village) make up the remainder. The present population of Tyannal Manor is 176.
(Note: in the tables below, + at the beginning of an entry indicates membership in this household is open to players. If the entry is for a craftsman, the opening is as an apprentice or journeyman. If the entry is for another villager, the opening is for offspring or other kin of the head of household. * indicates this household is the head of the indicated clan.)
Tyannal Hamlet |
No one is certain as to just how long ago the village of Tyannal was first settled, but there is no doubt that the circular cluster of homes which bears that name is the oldest of the hamlets on Tyannal Manor. At the center of the hamlet lies the Shrine of the Tear, a small Peonian chapel that also serves as the residence of the village's Ebasthe.

Martel Hamlet |
Martel Hamlet was settled as the population of the village increased and new households were established along the road leading towards Milnyrd Manor. At the head of the lane, where hangs the sign of The Weeping Maiden, is an inn where wealthier pilgrims find accomodation and villagers frequently gather to while away what leisure time they have. Most of the village's craftsmen have their workshops and homes in Martel hamlet. The village miller and his family live on the banks of Elmith Stream, just below the manor house.

New Hamlet |
The settlement, still known only as New Hamlet, was established ten years ago when the Hodiri destroyed Landin Manor. Survivors of the massacre settled here and at nearby Laneryd Manor.
