1999.5 Volkswagen Golf 2.0
Let me first start out by saying I love this car and I'm sure gonna miss it when I sell it, but I have to pay for college somehow and I can't afford the payments anymore.
Now after saying that, here is my car
Details of car
It currently has almost 73,500 miles on it, it is a 5 speed transmisson. The oil was changed by myself every 3,000 miles, using nothing but Fram oil filters and Valvoline Oil. I am the second owner of the car, I purchased the car in February of 2002 from Byers Imports. It had 51,000 miles on it at the time. I've had the O2 sensor replaced on the car in April of 2003 at Midwestern Auto Group. I haven't had any problems with the car besides that, and that's a known problem with that model car.
Mods done to the car
I had Eibach 2 inch lowering springs installed on the car probably 2 months after I purchased it. In June of 2003 I installed an AEM Cold Air Intake on the car. In August of 2003 I had a 2.25 inch Techtonics Tunning Catback exhaust installed on it. At the same time I had the spark plugs replaced and the wires replaced with Techtonics tunning wires. When the springs were installed I had the windows tinted at Ziebart in Columbus. They are tinted 35% all the way around. The rims that are on there are Motegi 16 inch gunmetal rims with Kumho 712 Series tires. I have the 15 inche steelie rims that came with the car with the tires, but I don't have the hubcaps. I installed smoked side lights by the doors and the turn signals on the sides in the front have been painted over to match the car. I had GTI like rear lights installed.
Problems with the car
There are 2 spots on the back bumper that are messed up on the back bumper, here are the pics.
The only other problems with it are on the inside, the one of the glove compartment henges is broken, but it still works. I've also have started to have problems with the locks. They are starting to become hard to turn at times, seems to be only when it rains or when it is cold. .
