Meant to Be Together
(this is a true story)
There was a lady maybe in her 50s who had lived in this house for a really
long time. and after her husband passed awya she didn't want to move but
she wanted to renovate a little so the house stayed good enough for her to
live in. She callled the contractor and they sent this guy to install the
linoleum for her. he was really young and at that time the lady's granddaughter
was living with her for the summer. The guy came and he did his work and
he saw the girl and he fell in love with her. He knew she was the one he
was going to marry. So after the job was done one day he went back to the
house and knocked on the door and asked the grandmother if that beautiful
lady was available. But the grandmother said no she didn't live there and
she didn't tell him where she did live. So he tried to find her but it didn't
work. So maybe a year or so later he met this other lady and they fell in
love and three months later they eloped. They had been married for about
10 years and they made a trip to his wife's grandmother's house. When they
walked in, he thought the place was familiar but he didn't know why. When
he walked into the kitchen, he saw the linoleum that he had put there a while
ago and that's when he realized that he had married the same girl he was
looking for many years ago! This story was about the lady who had called
into the radio station and she said she was calling because they celebrated
their 25th anniversary a few days ago.
