Rachael Domenica Ray was born August 25, 1968 in Glenn Falls, NY. He holds her roots on her mother�s side as Sicilian- American and on her father�s side as French-American. The cooking personality runs in her family, her family owned a restaurant on Cape Cod, MA. Her mother managed restaurants in upstate NY. Her first chef position she held was at Cowan & Lobel, in Albany.
Rachel Ray host the television shos30 Minute Meals, $40 a Day Inside Dish, and Rachael Ray�s Tasty Travels, and has many book based on the 30 Minute Meal concept.
In 2006, 30 Minute Meals received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Service Show. Also named by Time magazine�s 100 most influential people of 2006. According to Forbes, magazine, it is estimated that she earns 6 million per year on books and television shows. She has also published her own magazine, every day with Rachael Ray in conjunction with Reader�s Digest this Magazine made its debut on October 25, 2005.
She has also made a contribution The American Heritage dictionary with her catch phrase EVOO, (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) well be added to the dictionary.
