Ellen Lee DeGeneres was born on January 26, 1958 at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans suburb of Metairie, LA. Her Father was an insurance salesman, and her mother a real-estate agent. She is of French, Englishman German and Irish descent. Graduated from Atlanta High School and attended the University of New Orleans. She currently has her own self titles talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

She started doing show or routines for her friends at parties, then with time she performed at comedy clubs and eventually got where she is today. Carry her comedy acts all over the United States lead her to being invited to the Tonight show were she preformed and was adored by the public. She also was the voice Of Dorie in Finding Nemo, and has received numerous Emmy awards throughout her career.
