LIMA

No, she isnt a lady from the mountains!! So don't ask. I never lived in Lima, but I did get to know it well, in the few days that I was there. We stayed in a hotel right by the "plaza de Armas" which was nice becasue we were close to a lot of the restaraunts and most of the museums. I would suggest to anyone to go to the Sanfransisco museum, where you will see all the underground tunnels, and mass graves. Its interesting. One of my favorite things in Lima was the zoo. It was pretty cool, and I have pictures of everything from the zoo, later on I will post some of my favorite ones. Another cool place was Larco Mar. This is probably the most advanced, civilized place you'll find in Peru. It has a bowling, entertainment hall, a theatre, and several other stores and restaraunts. I would definately suggest checking it out.
Another thing to mention are the taxis. Dont let anyone rip you off. I got in the practice of telling THEM how much I will pay them. That way you wont get some rediculous offer like $5 to go down the street. You can go practically anywhere in Lima (except the airport) for less than 10 soles. I always payed 8 soles to go from Larco Mar to the center of town. Some will ask for more, some will ask for less, just dont get ripped off.
