Elementary Program

The Elementary Sunday School Program is designed for children ages four through 10. The goals of this program are to:
  • Introduce Bible stories, simple prayers, the commandements, and songs,
  • Convey an understanding of God's love,
  • Reveal theological ideas in artistic form, such as creation, baptism, and Jesus as God and teacher,
  • Encourage the use of play to express an understanding of Bible stories,
  • Prepare the students to receive Communion, and
  • Illustrate the church as a place where they are comfortable, welcome, and affirmed.
Secondary Program

The Seconday Sunday School Program is designed for children ages 11 through 18. The goals of this program are to:
  • Reinforce basic Biblical concepts, referencing ideas from the elementary program,
  • Present basic theological ideas, such as salvation, the Cross, discipleship, ministry, the Trinity, the Church, and the commandments,
  • Prepare students for Confirmation,
  • Engage the students in service projects as an expression of discipleship,
  • Assist students in leading worship,
  • Prepare students to articulate their faith,
  • Help students understand their gift for ministry and their purpose in God's plan,
  • Provide a format where students feel valued and affirmed in the Church,
  • Equip students with a solid knowledge of the Bible, its organization, and overall structure, and
  • Help students apply their faith in their everyday life.
