Excellent shotstopper with huge puck out. A vital member of the Tipp panel. Had an excellent 2001 All Ireland campaign which culminated in him winning his second consecutive AllStar.

DAVID KENNEDY
POSITION: Centre Back

HONOURS: 1 All Ireland SHC, 1 Munster SHC, 2 NHL, 1 Munster U21
A steady performer in the Number 6 jersey for Tipp. He has also played on the wing. A vital cog in the machine who had a good year all round. He made some vital interceptions, especially in the Munster Final.

TOMMY DUNNE
POSITION: Midfield

HONOURS: 1 All Ireland SHC, 1 Munster SHC, 2 NHL, 1 Fitzgibbon Cup, 2 Railway Cup, 3 AllStars (1997, 1999, 2001)
A long timer at this stage for Tipp. He has been on the Tipp seniors since 1993. Tommy was a slow burner this year but progressed with every game ending with a magnificent display in the All Ireland final. He was awarded man of the match for his performance and just rewards for a player who has given so much to Tipp's cause over the years. Tommy won Hurler of the Year for 2001 and also won his 3rd AllStar.

MARK O LEARY
POSITION: Wing Forward

HONOURS: 1 All Ireland SHC, 1 Munster SHC, 1 NHL, 1 Fitzgibbon Cup, 1 AllStar (2001)
Made a good impact for Tipp this year in the Championship. A good striker of the ball and also has good pace. Chipped in with a few points in every game during the summer and got the goals when it mattered most in the final. Mark also won his 1st AllStar in 2001.

EOIN KELLY
POSITION: Corner Forward
CLUB: Mullinahone

Teenage sensation a star for St. Kieran's College. He has delivered on his promise big time. He is extremely cool and this is noticed in his free taking and all round play. A very likeable down to earth player who has a huge future in the game. Eoin won an AllStar in his debut year for Tipp.
