Speaking of gender equality and getting respected for our differences, one singer I absolutely cannot stand is Fergie (from The Blackeyed Peas).  From her grotesque songs "My Humps" and "Fergalicious", she has completely canceled out all the hard work that women have put into achieving liberation.  Through her songs, she portrays herself  as a sex object with "lovely lady lumps" (yuck! ), who is fighting off armies of men dying to consume her like food (hence, "Fergalicious").  Now, she has a powerful, beautiful voice-- I'm not doubting her talent.  However, why does she have to sell herself as an object??
