/Just an Accident 3\
2 weeks and about 100 phone calls later, I was at the mall, finding some appropriate clothing for my rendezvous with Josh.
God why does GAP have to be so expensive? I grumbled to myself.
Thats what all you street rats say, said a crude voice behind me.
Rene shut up, I shot back without even looking behind me.
Oh a little uptight are we now? she said snidely.
Her 2 friends, Chelsea and Amanda, were chuckling.
Rene could be kind of attractive, except for the superior smirk that was permanently plastered on her face. The only time I had seen her smiling was when she was sucking up to someone, or flirting with guys.
I have to be going now. I have some important things to tend to, I said, brushing past her.
She flipped her long blonde hair over her shoulder and placed her hands on her hips.
What important things does a street rat have to do? she asked almost sarcastically.
Im meeting up with somebody in a few days.
Who might this mystery person be? Your mother? she laughed.
Right that moment I felt like clawing out her eyes, but stopped when my cell rang.
Hello? I answered, ignoring the cold stare of Rene and her mad ego.
Crys?
Hey Josh! I greeted cheerily.
Renes face turned into confusion.
How are you? he asked.
Im at the mall when I ran into the regular Miss Prissy.
Her mouth dropped as I told him some of the things she had done to me.
Sounds like a stuck up brat to me, he agreed.
You have no right to tell him that about me! Rene cried defiantly.
Here put her on the line, he said.
I shrugged and handed Rene the phone. He wants to say something.
Of course he does, she smiled.
She put the phone up to her ear. Then her eyes widened and her jaw dropped once again.
Whats he saying? I thought to myself. I couldnt help but enjoy the bewildered look on her face.
Like a zombie she handed me my phone, speechless.
Whats up with you? I asked her.
She just stared at me.
Josh?
Hey Crys.
Whatd you do? I asked eagerly.
Told her off, he said casually.
Ive been trying to do that for years Joshy. How come you can do it in one time huh?
My secret.
Whatever Josh.
So whatcha doin? he asked.
Im finding a store to shop at, I replied, ignoring Rene and her friends, who were following me.
Ah. Shopping. Just like Joey.
Joey?
Yeah. Hes the weird one. He dyed his hair red a couple years back. Its still that color. He also loves shopping.
Ah.
I looked behind me. Rene and her small group of friends were being joined by many others, all whispering and pointing at me.
Ok. Something is weird here, I mumbled.
What?
Rene and her friends are following me.
Just ignore them.
Ill try.
So were still meeting at the same place right?
Yup, I confirmed.
Just 5 more days, he sighed. Ill be counting.
Ive BEEN counting. For the past 2 weeks! I laughed.
Wow, he chuckled.
Yeah really.
I finally found an Old Navy and went inside.
Sorry Crys, I gotta cut it short. Chris is gonna chop my head off if I dont off the phone.
Oh. I guess Ill see you in 5 days huh? I sighed sadly.
Yeah. You know Ill be there!
Bye Joshy.
Bye Angel.
I smiled at his pet name for me. Angel. He was so sweet.
I put my phone away in my mini backpack and looked to see if Rene and Co. were still there.
They all looked at me in the weirdest way possible.
Get a life! I yelled at them.
No reaction.
Oh brother, I sighed, getting back to the clothes hung over my arm.

I looked at my bed. I laid out about 10 outfits on my bed and floor.
There was only one logical thing to do. I picked up my phone and dialed the familiar number.
Hello?
Hey Gen. Its me, I greeted.
Hey Crys!
We had long since made up.
I need your help.
With what?
Im meeting Josh in 2 days Gen! What am I supposed to wear? I cried distressfully.
Ill be right over.
Thanks.
           Whatre friends for?
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
I think I like outfit 5 better, she said.
You sure?
Yes!
So far we had disqualified outfit 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Now were down to outfit 4, 5, and 6, I sighed.
Dont worry Crys. Well get this solved in no time, Gen assured me.
Thats what you said 2 hours ago!
Well theres only 3 more left.
Ok, ok. I thought for a moment. Lets get rid of outfit 6. Too many studs on the pant leg, I said.
Thats the way to go.
Now theres 4 and 5.
I think you should wear #5.
Really?
Yup.
I guess itll work.
Finally!
Gen got up to her feet.
Now cmon! Im starving! Gen exclaimed.
Alright! I laughed.
