/Just an Accident\
I sighed as I clicked and typed, clicked and typed. I knew drowning in sorrow wasnt gonna help me, but it was worth a shot.
As I sat in my blue swivel chair, clicking away, I never knew the Internet to be such a boring place. Occasionally Id talk to one of my friends, but they usually couldnt stay long. And I had probably checked my mail 10 times in the last hour.
My mind kept drifting back to what happened
BEGIN FLASHBACK
So what did you wanna talk to me about? I asked, sitting down next to him on a wooden park bench.
Uh he started.
What? I asked nervously.
He took a breath. Crys, I cant see you anymore.
What?
I felt the itching of tears coming at my eyes.
Im moving, he said softly.
Where?
Im moving to Europe he whispered.
No, youre not, I said bluntly, squeezing my eyes to keep the tears away.
Im sorry. I tried, I really did, but they said I had to go or Id lose my job
Your job? I exploded. So you think your job is more important than me?
No! No! Thats not it at all. I just want to get some money, then I can fly back here to be with you.
I looked over at him. His brown hair glinted in the soft light of the streetlight. His soft oak colored eyes were directed to the cement beneath our feet.
Adam
What?
Please come back soon, I whispered, letting tears fall from my eyes.
You know I will, he said, hugging me.
I hugged him tighter than anyone, ever. I took in everything. His scent, his voice, his touch. I also prayed that something would go wrong and hed have to stay.
I love you Crystal, he said in my ear.
I love you too Adam.
END FLASHBACK
I bit my lip as my tears fell onto my clothes, staining them with little circles.
God I miss him
BEGIN FLASHBACK
I failed to stop the ocean of tears escaping my eyes as I watched him walk to the plane. He didnt even turn around once.
Thats when I felt that I had lost him forever
END FLASHBACK
Taking the sleeve of my shirt, I wiped the tears away hastily.
Crying wont bring him back.
I returned my attention to the computer. A message was flashing.
(Note! I made the screen name up)

We talked for about 2 hours. About nothing, yet everything. The conversation seemed to flow naturally. I knew about all those Internet stalkers and dangerous stuff and things, and yet I trusted Josh. He seemed so nice and thoughtful. Not to mention we had so much in common. Except for the fact that he loved sports, we were pretty much alike.
JazzyMan88: Hey I gotta go. But tell ya what, Ill talk to u tonight?
Chungie12388: Yeah sure. What time?

I sighed as I closed the dialog box. He was so nice. So sweet. I wished I knew what he actually looked like. I logged off and shut down my Compaq computer. Slowly I picked myself up off my chair. I had been sitting down for so long my butt was numb. I picked out an outfit and stepped into the bathroom to take a much-needed shower.
^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
I stepped up to the door and rang the doorbell.
The blue door opened and inside was a woman. She was an inch or two taller than me; she had wavy blonde-brown hair, blue eyes, and a great personality.
Hey Gen, I greeted, stepping inside her 1-story house.
Hey Crys.
So how are you doing this lovely day? I asked, sitting down on her green plush couch.
Whats up with you? she asked, giving me a look.
What are you talking about, whats up with me?
Youre so cheery today. I thought Adam broke up with you.
Oh yeah. That. I decided not to dwell on it and live my life.
Uh huh. So why are you so happy?
Am I supposed to be miserable? I shot back defiantly.
Youre usually not this happy, she explained.
Oh.
So why are you so happy? she repeated.
Well, I was on the Internet-
So thats why! I was trying to get a hold of you!
Sh! You wanna know? Then shut up.
She did so.
Well, anyway, some guys IMs me and we started talking.
And thats it? she asked.
Well, yeah.
It mustve been some guy.
Whaddaya mean? I questioned.
You dont usually just talk to some stranger on the Internet and like him just like that, she snapped her fingers.
Hes not a stranger! His name is Josh.
How do you know hes not trying to kidnap you?
I know he wont. Hes too sweet.
Wouldnt that be just a plan to make you feel safe?
Uh, no! Hed never do that!
What makes you think that? she said, crossing her arms.
I jumped to my feet. I know he wouldnt!
Im just trying to protect-
Protect what? I know he wont kidnap me. He just wouldnt!
She just looked at me.
I turned sharply on my heel and walked to the door, slamming it shut as I exited.
