And the Winner Is
I listened to the radio intently, wanting to hear the winner of the *N Sync contest. I knew I had a 1 in a million chance of winning, but might as well hope.
And the winner of the go on tour with *N Sync contest is the DJ trailed off, probably hoping for us to die from anticipation. JESSICA CHUNG from Minneapolis, Minnesota!
I sat, shocked. Then I jumped up and started to scream. After I got that out of my system, I regained my posture and sat down again.
Lets call our lucky winner and see what she says, the DJ continued.
A couple seconds later, I hear my phone ring.
Hello?
Jessica?
This is, I said, trying to remain as calm as I could.
Congratulations, you have won the Go on Tour with *N Sync contest!
I screamed into the phone.
Pack up now, because the radio people will be there tomorrow at 10:30 to pick you up and fly you down to Orlando to meet the guys!
YES! I cried. Thank you!
Yep. Anytime. Good luck to ya.
Click.
I turned off my phone and rushed to pack everything.

I looked in the mirror at my reflection. I had on a pair of black super flares with a black Adidas shirt that showed just enough skin. I had my hair up in a high ponytail. In my eyes, I looked just about perfect. My goal was to dress casual, yet fashionable. Now all I had to do was convince them that.
The doorbell rang at exactly 10:30.
I wiped off my sweaty palms and opened the door.
Are you Ms. Chung? an important lady asked.
Yes. And please call me Jessica or Jessie. Ms. Chung makes me feel so old ya know?
She laughed. Very well Jessica. She pointed to a bulky looking man to her right and said, This is Raul and hell be your guard.
Guard? I dont need a guard.
Believe me. You will, she smiled. Now lets go shall we?
I picked up my 2 suitcases and carry on bag.
Raul took the suitcases from my hands. Ill hold on to these for you.
Thanks.
And so we hailed a cab and we were on our way to the airport.

We will be landing in Orlando in a few minutes so please all passengers fasten your seatbelts, announced the stewardess.
I did as instructed, very excited.
Youre excited arent you? asked a deep voice.
You bet, I responded.
Raul smiled and sat back in his chair.
