Tokyo @ night (Summer 2002)

Aoyama, south of shinjuku, east of harajuku, north of shibuya... high-class district where bars, clubs, expensive restaurants and western brandnames stores are located. also it’s where artists, designers, and stylists frequented and open their shops

at the intersection of the Omotesandou and aoyama 1st blvd. remember the scene from “beautiful life”? omotesandou is a romantic hangout place where u can find cafes, gas lights, street artists and young couples on the roadside, plus gucci prada ysl louis vutton all those, where fashion should be.

ouch! door ni gochuuii! please mind the door... i saw this sign on the train door of the subway... just think it’s cute

Shinjuku Studio Alta, the big screen tv is a popular meeting place in tokyo

Shinjuku’s kabuki chou @ 10:30pm right next to my staying place - still stuffed with ppl, karaoke, theaters, bars... and totally lid up. i wish this is cupertino...

passed by the basement floor of Seibu department store, facing at least a dozen cake shops we just couldn’t resist the temptation of buying 2 pieces of EXTREME DELICACY. they are expensive mannn.... in terms of their sizes... i could’ve just finish each in 2 bites if it’s some american craps but since they were SOOOOO TASTY AND NOT EXAGGERATING i practically divided into at least 20 bites for each one in order to get the most flavor out of them. the one on the left was choco moose (in layers) with a piece gold foil and the right one was mango-cranberry-strawberry moose (in different layers). me and my aunt shared half of each.

street singers performing under the Studio Alta tv screen at night outside the Shinjuku station

as u can see the citizen clock: 21:53 outside Shinjuku sta. the shinjuku station is the BIGGEST train station in the world mannn. i stayed in Shinjuku and everyday i used the station, and i swear, with my sense of direction :-D, still, everytime i happened to end up in some new entrances or exits. not after like 10 times i used the station i finally ended in some parts of it that i’ve been to. it’s a giant scary maze that connects a dozen lines of railway and subway.

Shinjuku at 10pm. wut do u think...
