The History of Chump The Band...
Seven or so years ago, in a county far, far away...
It started in Morpeth, a small community of travellers situated just outside Newcastle in London, England. Two friends, playing around with music, happened to hit upon a sound that filled them both with a strange misguided sense of achievement. An album was made and put to tape over a bizzare week of recording. Their recording moved with them to Bolton, in London, England, where they continued to make tape after tape of a music comically described as punk/funk/rock.
It took nearly five years, and a move to London, in London, England, for the critically acclaimed Coup D'Etat to get recorded. Using five years of experience, they focused all their talents into their first official album, crimping off a collection of eclectic tunes and ambient sounds.
A more detailed history will be available soon, but in the meantime, you can buy the Chump the Band biography "Touching Cloth", at Amazon.co.uk.
