Treasure either on the Land or in the Water
Chumphon is the town very near the gulf where its people�s occupation is mostly agriculture in accordance with the appropriate area of fertile plain, enough humidity and good quality soil. Main incomes are from para rubber (Natural rubber), oil palm including fruit and coffee. Most coffee in Thailand is grown in Chumphon. Along the highway is a wide availability of fruit for sale such as Leb Meu Nang banana, Pine apple of Sawi District, longan of Lang Suan District, Durian and Zalacca.
Gateway to the South
Chumphon is the first province of the southern trips and also the passing province that is not quite interesting since it is surrounded by other attracting provinces such as Prachuap Khiri Khon, Surat Thani , Phang Nga or Phuket. Additionally, tourist destinations will be at the father south province. Neverthaless, Chumphon also has various outstanding natural resources ranging from mountains, mangrove forests, island and fertile coral reef especially at Mu Koh Chumphon National Park that still preserves its original nature. Touring Chumphon will be of wide variety including the visit to the Shrine of Krom-luang-Chumphon-Khet-Udomsak (Prince of Chumphon) , temples caves, waterfall, rafting, seeing mangrove forests, beaches and island.
