Self-Indulgent Bullshit #1

1. Early drafts are generally written when something has piqued my ire, and refined later. I think more clearly when I am annoyed. It allows me think on my feet, but is not always pleasant. Certain survival skills are situationally detrimental. Being aware when I work under heavy traffic is essential to remaining among the living. At times, I have had good reasons to be in kill mode. Social settings are a different matter. Hence, a series of drafts ensures more balance. The tricky part is remaining interesting and preserving the original tone. (I sometimes even offend myself.) My success rate is varied. My artistic sensibilities are not always satisfied but maybe the point is clarified a little more. At times, a trade-off is required, but I’ll not divulge it.

2. I have no need to justify or explain my meaning. For those offended: if it had not offended you, then you would have never even noticed. I would rather penetrate thick skulls with a hammer. I am not a professor. I am not getting paid. You might do well to understand the animosity directed toward your empire. If you do not get it, then I do not care. I have no need to elaborate.

Until Later.
