Today i wanted to show priscilla around the lake, so we rented a motorboat.
I took priscilla on the dam tour and she took this dam picture. The picture is pretty dark for some reason so you may need to turn up your contrast to see the dam thing.
I guess i didn't slow down enough for this one. But lookit the clouds!
This is where i used to live in the summers. It's the property to the right of the big pine tree. The one with the big red boat dock washed up on its beach. I don't know what the deal is with that. Normally you keep your docks in the water. Also, we used to trim the tree branches so you could see the house from the lake (and, more importantly, vice versa). I don't think these people are taking good care of my property. I think i ought to take it back.
After riding around on the lake, we found a beach and sat, read, and swam (and got sun-burned) for the rest of the day. This was supposed to be a picture of the beach we were on and the boat we were using, but priscilla got jealous and inserted herself into the shot, with an attention-getting sock-wave.
That night we sat on the beach by our cottage and looked at the stars and the moon and ate popcorn. It was a full moon, which was kind of disappointing because when the moon isn't so bright you can see just about every star in the universe up there, plus planets, falling stars, etc. But still the moon was very nice, and this shot is one of several attempts to show the moon reflecting on the lake. It didn't work and you'll just have to trust us that it was very purty. (But, oddly, the best shot of the bunch was one where we had the camera set on "scan" instead of the normal photograph. We learned when we got home that SCN actually stood for "scene", not "scan". This information, known sooner, could have significantly altered the quality of our photos.) At 1600 by 1200 you can actually see the silhouettes of the mountains, but at 445 by 334 it's just a picture of a blob of light, so you just get to see the thumbnail.
