Poplar Lumber

Poplar Lumber is by far one of the most beautiful of all the american lumbers. It is reveered in crafters circles as one of the best to make cabinets and furniture with. The grains are wide and usually have mineral deposits in them, which make the wood a variety of shades ranging from green, brown , and purple. Poplar can be stained but in my opinion looks much better left plain. It accepts paint well and looks good painted, but would be an injustice on any piece that had several color tones.
