Willie ran in the Race To The Sky in 2001 and was a standout in that team, running smooth and pulling well. He ran Race To The Sky in 2002 in a mixed Siberian/Alaskan Husky team. Willie ran 270 miles and was dropped at the last checkpoint because he was just too tired to go on. The team he was on beat both of the all-Siberian teams in the race. Willie has been in many smaller races through the years, including West Yellowstone, Seeley Lake, Philipsburg, and Polebridge. Willie has also participated in tours, pulling 2-3 people with a 6-dog team.
Willie is a handsome fellow who insists on a belly rub whenever anyone approaches him.
