More Olympic Torch Pictures
The actual run was only a mile or two and took about seven minutes.  I was asked to go as slow as possible to give maximum viewing opportunities to the spectators.  For this reason I chose six dogs as giving the appearance of a decent sized team while still being easy to control.
With the torch held aloft, I give the command to the dogs while Mike releases the snub line.
The torch is lit, and all is ready. The dogs are waiting for my command.
We are off and running! A snowmobile is running ahead of us to pack the trail. The vehicle to our left contains a video crew who are filming the entire run.
The dogs are fast and eager, so I have one foot firmly on the drag track to keep them moving slow and steady.
A snowmobile followed behind us to ensure that all went well. They also carried a lantern that could be used to relight the torch if it went out. These folks thought of everything!
Here we pass a few spectators on snowmobiles. There were also a few thousand spectators on foot.
The dogs are running well.
We are approaching the edge of West Yellowstone.
