The actual run was only a mile or two and took about seven minutes. I was asked to go as slow as possible to give maximum viewing opportunities to the spectators. For this reason I chose six dogs as giving the appearance of a decent sized team while still being easy to control. |

We are off and running! A snowmobile is running ahead of us to pack the trail. The vehicle to our left contains a video crew who are filming the entire run. |

A snowmobile followed behind us to ensure that all went well. They also carried a lantern that could be used to relight the torch if it went out. These folks thought of everything! |
