Mary came to Black Hole Kennels in order to lead Mike's team in the 2001 Race To The Sky. She also ran in Janet's team in the 2002 Race To The Sky. While she did not finish either race, she did produce a litter of which 7 have run the Race To The Sky, and all 7 have finished.
Mary was bred to Peppy(Swingley) in 2001, and she gave birth to the very first litter of Alaskan Huskies at Black Hole Kennels. Mary also has grandpups in the kennel now.
Mary has a bit of a shy, spooky personality, but she is really enjoying her retirement status. She has full roaming privileges inside the dog yard, and she is also a housepet. She is bonded very strongly to our other house dog, Rose, and wherever Rose is, you can be sure that Mary is nearby. Mary is a sweet, gentle dog who is really great with puppies and with our cat.
