So, folks, how much of *NSYNC fact were you able to separate from *NSYNC fiction? There are obviously some truths that I based the Digital Star Saga on, others are just stuff I thought up. Take the true or false quizzie below, see how well you know your *NSYNC reality and *NSYNC bull:)
To see the answers to the questions, just highlight the space below the statements by clicking and dragging your mouse.
In General
Chris Kirkpatrick found a talking dog who granted him and the four other members of *NSYNC the power to transform into a superhero fighting force who uses the power of their positive star crystals to do battle against an evil known as the Corpulence, who seeks to corrupt musician's star crystals so they'll lose their beautiful dreams and become corrupt celebrities and such.
*True. Everything above is based on total truth that actually happened. Really. Seriously. Totally. Honestly. No, not really, it's all bull that I made up as a parody of Sailor Moon:)
*NSYNC was formed and all its members brought together in a matter of days.
*In my fanfic, Chris got Justin and JC in the group both in the same day, Joey the next, and Lance a couple of days later. In reality it probably happened over a much longer period of time. I just didn't bother to make it that way.
Busta can talk.
*False. He can't. I don't think.
Chapter 1 "Dawg"
Chris is the founder of *NSYNC.
*This is true.
Chris knew Joey from Universal Studios.
*This is also true.
Chris was part of the Hollywood High Tones and Joey played as a wolfman in the Beetlejuice show.
*Also true. See a pattern?
Chris found Busta at Universal Studios.
*No, I think he had Busta before that. Or after.
Chris is a virgin.
*Er...true?
Chapter 2 "Mice"
Chris called Justin, who he knew from an audition, who called JC who he knew from MMC
*True. Hey, this is basic *NSYNC trivia, you know.
Chris and Justin went to DisneyWorld to recruit JC
*Most likely false. I think they were around Orlando, but I doubt that they had that whole DisneyWorld meeting. Or maybe I'm more clairvoyant than I thought:)
JC hates Justin's guts and has MMC phobia.
*Yes, but he got better:) No, it's false, I just made all this up based on that first computer dating skit played on "When Did You MMC Them First," hence the fuzz reference.
JC used to date a cast member named Nikki
*I think this was up for speculation a while ago, but I don't know if it was ever proven factual. E-mail me if I'm wrong.
Justin and Britney once walked in on JC making out with Nikki.
*False, but wouldn't it have been funny?:)
No one in their right mind would want to be a ventriloquist.
*True. (Trivia: AJ from the BSB has some ventriloquism training:))
Justin's ego is as big as I portrayed it.
*False. I don't think anyone's ego could be as big as that...
JC is really embarrassed by Keri Russell
*Nah. JC and Keri were very good friends.
Chapter 3 "Superman"
Star crystals(Which really exist)are manifestations of a person's individuality.
*False. You are your own manifestation. Something like individuality and life experience can't be measured or materialized or stolen like some jewel. Don't I sound so New Age?:)
The Corpulence is real.
*The Corpulence is something I made up to represent the type of corruption, deceit, and darkness within the entertainment industry which can twist people's dreams and ideals. Has anyone ever seen "Cat's Don't Dance"? It is *NSYNC's job to use their positive boyband dancing skills to destroy the Asterisk...er...I mean use their dreams and positivity to act as a countermeasure to this.
Justin, Chris, and JC got to Joey at an Orlando club, after they somehow got inside.
*True. I have no clue, however, as to the paradoxi mentioned in the chapter.
***Interesting news READ!!!: I have just recently discovered that the club they went to was a little place called Pleasure Island...and it was at a Disney place or something. So of course there was no drinking. Really there was no paradox, only misinformation on my part. I don't plan on changing the storyline because of this, though...it'd be too complicated.
Justin drinks.
*False. He just doesn't. I'm mean, I'm sure he's had some kind of alchohol in his system at some point in his life, it's just not a serious thing.
Joey's communication skills are as bad as I portrayed them, especially towards the opposite sex.
*I actually think Joey might be a real smooth talker in real life. If he's anywhere near half as flirty as people claim he is, he must be able to groove with some eloquence. That segment was obviously put in because the chapter didn't have enough humor.
Chris and JC both knew Joey but nobody knew that, least of all Justin because he didn't know Joey before JC and Chris knew him and he met them at the club.
*True. 'Nuff said:)
The guys performed "Celebration" at the club.
*I don't think so; If they did I think they would've mentioned it. I just put that scene in because...well...I don't know why I put that scene in.
People watched "Felicity" only for Keri Russell's hair.
*According to the ratings, true:)
*NSYNC are true musicians and rock stars even if they don't play their own instruments.
*True. They are a men's vocal group.
Joey likes Superman.
*Of course!
Chapter 4 "How Low Can You Go"
*NSYNC rented a sound stage to rehearse harmonizing.
*Sure. In theory.
They did try to have Joey do their bass and it didn't turn out too well.
*True. Chris even made that blackmail comment in an interview once:)
Justin called his vocal coach to get them in contact with Lance
*True. C'mon, it's common knowledge!
Justin, Joey, and JC didn't know Lou Pearlman until that day
*False. Lou was existent from the beginning. Just not in my fanfic.
Lou Pearlman is as annoying as I portayed him.
*False. Probably:) Also, I'm not sure whether or not he really did want to speed up their tour; I just made that up.
Lou was dead set against having Lance in the group.
*Somewhat false. Lou didn't think that they needed that fifth bass singer to be complete, but I doubt he voiced such strong objections about it.
Lance is from Mississippi.
*What, what do you mean Lance is from Mississippi? Of course he isn't from Mississippi. Except when he is. Which is always. So, true:)
Lance saw Justin and JC on the Mickey Mouse Club.
*I think this is true.
Whatever the heck Poofoo is, Lance has it.
*True. I think Poofoo's a dog or something...
When they first met, Lance thought that the other guys were Satanists.
*Use your own judgement here.
In the end the other guys had to convince Lance to join.
*True. Thank God they succeeded!
