Hey all! Didya read my fanfic yet? If you did, I sure hoped that you guys clicked on the little "this" links that appeared after each of the members transformed. If you didn't, go now and see them, you're making me very sad:(.
So now most of you are probably thinking: "What the @#$%@ is this monkey @#$#^!? How in the name of the lords of %$@# did he draw something so ugly!?" But I'm pretty sure that there will be some of you who are thinking: "Hey, those aren't bad, I wonder how he drew those?"

I really don't want to brag, but I will say that I think of myself as a fairly decent artist. When I was thinking of the ideas for the fanfic, I knew immediately that it will have some descriptive images to accentuate on the characters.
But because I don't have a freakin' scanner(AAARRRGGG!!!), I had to basically draw all my images on Paint Shop Pro(Version 6.00). Don't let anyone tell you that it's easy. It wasn't. Each of the characters, which would normally take me about eight minutes to sketch on paper, took me about half an hour because it was just so freakin' hard to draw the faces!!! Alright, I'm sorry, I won't go off like that any more. But it really was somewhat challenging. But it's kind of worth it because with Paint Shop Pro I was able to add some cool effects like that Joey fire thing, and it did get easier as I went along.
But enough about my pain. Here are the images that have appeared so far in *NSYNC: Digital Star Saga, along with notes about their coming about!

Colors: Baby blue coat and dark blue collar etc. These choices were obvious because Justin had this crazy baby blue fetish that went on a while ago.

Powers: Justin has control over ice. I don't know how I came up with that, I guess because by this time I had already given electricity to JC and needed another "blue" power. And besides, Justin is cool, ice is cool, get it? Ha ha. Not funny at all, I know.
His attack, *NSYNC Tearing Frostbite, is based off of Iceman's attack in those Capcom vs. video games. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? No? Okay, never mind...The "tearing" part of the name comes from "Tearin' Up My Heart." Go figure, I know I'm insane.
Justin first appeared in Chapter 2

Colors: Silver coat and black collar etc. I was originally going to make it the other way around or all the way black 'cause I was running out of colors, but then I realized how scary that would look. Did you know that it was after I drew this picture that I found out Chris' favorite color is silver? Ha, go figure:)

Powers: Chris controls wind and air. I came up with this based on the fact that Chris is the highest in voice range, high=sky, sky=air, air=wind.
His attack, *NSYNC Lunatic Storm, also came off a fighting game:) Charlie's(from Street Fighters)Sonic Blade hyper combo. Lost again? Sorry 'bout that:) The "lunatic" part of it comes from Chris' apparent craziness.
Chris first appeared in Chapter 1

Colors: Darker red for the coat and lighter red for the etc. Another obvious choice like Justin, red seemed to be close to the only thing Joey wears at concerts.

Powers: Joey's element is fire. Obviously, the red thing, and if you've seen what Joey's hair looked like from late-1998 through mid-2000, you'd choose fire for his element, too.
Joey's attack is *NSYNC Burning Light. The name was taken from the lyrics of "I Thought She Knew," the part where they go "My love light burned for her alone." The concept is from Superman's heat vision power, but is more like Cyclops' optic blasts, I guess(Is anyone getting sick of these superhero references? Sorry, I'm a guy, deal with me:)).
Joey first appeared in Chapter One, but didn't receive his powers until Chapter 3.

Colors: Grean coat and yellow collar etc. When I first drew him, I had him with yellow coat and green etc, but it didn't look as good as the other way around. Later when I was writing the Lance chapter I realized how stupid that was because a golden microphone makes so much more sense than a green one, and certainly green energy can't flow from the ground. But it was too late to change anything. So Lance has a green coat but his energy is golden. Stop me when I don't make sense. Anyway, why green and yellow? They kind of refer to the earth, I guess? And they're Lancey colors.

Powers: Lance has control over the earth and seismic energy. The process came the same way it did for Chris, bass=low, low=earth, etc.
Lance's attack is named *NSYNC Deep Seismoburst. The name doesn't refer to anything other than Lance's deepness; It was actually going to be "Rhythmic Seismoburst," but that sounded horribly wrong. The concept came from another video game(Surprise!): Terry Bogard's Power Geyser from the Fatal Fury series.
Lance first appeared in Chapter 4

Colors: Darker blue coat and silver collar. It was originally just a blue collar but I changed it for variety. I'm not sure why, I saw JC as a dark blue kind of person.

Powers: JC controls lightning and electricity. Okay, we all know that JC is a spaz when it comes to performing, so you know, when I think spaz, I think of convulsing and stuff, and thus shocking things, and thus electricity! Wow! I make sense! Not really!
JC's attack is called *NSYNC Spasmic Lightning. The source is self-explanatory. And no, it's not based off of any video game or superhero attack, it's just a bolt of lightning he shoots out of his hand:) I guess that's why JC's attack wasn't as descriptive as the others.

-I added those cool earphone thingies at the last second. What I didn't realize was that usually, those things appear on the right side of their faces. And now it's too late for me to change it. ARG! I would just reverse the pictures, but I know that's gonna mess them up.

-All the guys' clothes are different in some way. Neato.

-Stuff to come: Pictures of the scouts and soldiers(I tried drawing them when I first came up with the idea but they ended horribly demented. I'm gonna have to spend more time on this), other characters as they appear, some other sketches of the guys, and maybe even possibly hopefully perhaps some scenes drawn in comic book format(WHOA! Do I hear myself talking!? There's no way I'm good enough to do something like that! Especially not with my crappy resources! But I might try). The day that I get a scanner is a day of rejoicing, but I don't see that coming any time soon, so I'll just stick with Paint Shop for a while.

-And finally, go ahead and take these pictures if you like. BUT!!! If you're gonna post them on your websites please ask me first! Give me an acceptable reason why you would want to post my pics. I'm a nice guy; Most likely I will let you use these pics under the condition that you credit me as the original artist. You must understand that there's nothing more shameful and offensive to me than if I were to see someone taking credit for my hard work, however crappy it may be. I realize that just putting up these pictures is an invitation for people to scam me, and really there's nothing I can do about that, but hey, I do have faith in the *NSYNC fans of the world and trust them to do the right thing:).

-Does anyone actually want to send me their fanart? I realize that the chances of this are relatively little, but if you like my work so much that you've actually made your own Digital Star Saga fanart(I wish:)), please send them to this address(It's different from my usual address)! I'll post them in a separate page and maybe even use your work for the stories themselves, and of course you'll be credited as the original artist:)!
