Mandy Moore
I did not think much of Mandy when she first came out. I thought she was kinda cute with a cute song(Candy)and it was cute and all.
Now I love her.
Moreso than Britney, than Christina, than Jessica, than any of those others.
There's just no other way to say it!
Blame it on the awesome songs on her latest album, Mandy Moore, in which she totally establishes her own individual image and sound and style. Blame it on her flawless but not too far-out voice. Blame it on her absolutely appealing personality ad refreshing image. Blame it on the amazing visual beauty and aesthetics shown in the "Cry" video. Blame it on how amazingly beautiful she's been looking lately. Blame it on "Only Hope," one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. Heck, blame it on the "A Walk to Remember" trailer.
Mandy rocks. It's not even, like, debatable in my mind. This isn't like like, well she rocks, but okay I don't like this or I don't like that about her. I really don't think there is anything about Mandy that I don't like. Maybe I just don't know her well enough to say these things but...that's how I feel at the moment.
And it's not often I say that about anything, much less an artist. Even *NSYNC, I'll have one or two conniptions about them from time to time. Again, maybe it's just because I don't know her well enough to find faults with, but seriously...from what I see there's just nothing to complain about.

...Okay fine, Yo-Yo was a very "WTF?" type of song, but besides that:p.
I think though, that one of Mandy's greatest strengths, that to remain very down-to-earth and not too edgy or "aggressive" in a sense in her style, has also worked severely against her in terms of her popularity. She's sexy in her own right, but without being controversial or over-the-top about it or having everyone make it such a big deal. That's all fine and dandy for her, but that's not what the media likes to hang onto. She's like the sweet MTV VJ person...the fickle media has more fickle things to focus on.
I personally hope though, that Mandy never changes, especially not for the sake of gaining popularity:). I like her the way she is. Her music is great, her voice is lovely, and she herself is an angel

Mandy rocks.
