Alrighty then
I'm sorry I'm gonna sound really rude, but this just makes up so much of why I refuse to be identified with SOME *NSYNC "fans."
SHE is the only one who was living in a fantasy. SHE was the one who liked *NSYNC only for the image. SHE was the one who paid so much attention to the hype and glamour. And when that beautiful image of her perfect boyfriends was broken, she decided to be bitter and cry about it, hate them for reasons they have no control over. Typical.
Of COURSE they have certain images associated with them. That's what they are, no one is going to deny that,we've known it from the start. They are a phenomenon. And of course it irritates me sometimes when their marketting crew literally goes to our faces and shouts "HOT BOYS! HOT BOYS! GET YOUR HOMEMADE STEREOTYPICAL HOT BOYS HERE!" But I get past it. Why? Because I can see past that. I can see that *NSYNC is a group of five positive, intelligent, INSANELY talented men who wants to give a little bit of their lives to make music that I love.
They did not go out in this business to be fake. They are human. They are human beings that I aspire to be like. But not perfect. Far from it. I had known that from the beginning. Maybe if this girl had known it, seen past the glitter, accepted the pros AND the cons of their phenomenon, she wouldn't be the bitter person who thinks Lance is an alcoholic.
Just think about this...if, IF *NSYNC has to be a certain way to last then whose fault is it, theirs, or the over-fantasizing fans who they have to give up their identities to please? I choose to accept and respect *NSYNC for ALL their worth; Their phenomenon, their talent, their music, and what they have given me.
Well, whatever. It's her opinion. Too bad it's wrong.
No, I do not think for one second that just because she says some crap about *NSYNC that she is a horrible, horrible person who needs to be shot down. And of course there is a small level of truth to what she has going on, but what I see is that she is seriously, seriously misguided. There are obvious...flaws...in her judgement.
So what if *NSYNC is not able to fulfill the needs of every single little daydreaming schoolgirl in the universe, that's not their job. Their job is to make music. The positivity, the looks, the hype, the phenomenom...those are priviledges that many people like to abuse.
The thing is, for the life of me I can not imagine how this girl, who has expressed many many times in her site what a cool fan she is and how appreciative she is of The Phenomenon, sink to the stage that she is today that she would publicly denounce them like this? It's not like she's an ignorant half-fan...I could see that she was once very touched by *NSYNC and what they did. In the end...I think she just placed too much faith in *NSYNC the image and not *NSYNC the people. Yes, she said that it's really the fans that bother her, not the group itself, but if she really could see what *NSYNC truly stands for...a group of men who has been able to exceed all expectations, make people who would not normally listen to their music become fans...maybe she wouldn't be saying the things she is saying. Maybe she could strike down the barrier she has placed over her eyes and The Truth. What is The Truth, you ask? Well, The Truth is something I made up about fourteen seconds ago, but its issues have always been apparent. And The Truth is that *NSYNC rocks. Period. The end. No, screw the false marketting, screw the fact that they have no time for each and every one of their twelve million or so fans, screw the hypocrisy. Embrace The Truth. *NSYNC rocks.
Don't ever falter from The Truth. Don't ever let things cloud your mind. The Truth is all and takes precedence over any insignificant objections you can make up to discredit *NSYNC.
Embrace The Truth. *NSYNC rocks.
If you have any objections you can think of to The Truth, please, do e-mail me. I like to save souls.
"I have embraced The Truth"
