The Artist Direct Fan Conference
Hey, I just saw the live Artistdirect.com fan conference with *NSYNC on 7/1/00! So I'm gonna type about it now before I totally forget what they talked about. Here are the events, in no particular order.
Actually I didn't see the whole thing live...My fruit-filled computer took about twenty minutes to log in to the login page itself, and then they kept giving me that "Connection Timed Out" message, so I only caught the last thiry-five or so minutes. ARRG!!! And I was waiting from nine o'clock too! If you missed it you can go to http://www.artistdirect.com/events/nsync/ to see it. I think. I actually tried that, but it keeps saying that I have the wrong path or somejack.
And before I say anything else, I just have to notice this: The girl who co-runs NSYNC Worldwide? You are fine. You are very fine. If you are reading this, know that you are fine. Did I mention that you are fine? No? Well, you are. Do you have a boyfriend?
I think when I finally got in JC was talking about...something. Er, I was too astonished that I actually got in to listen to what he was saying. I think it was something about either the album or the stages they use. All I know is that next Chris is talking about how they choreograph and stuff.
Skip ahead to...the Joey marionette! Ah, that thing was hilarious! Notice that the real Joey's hair is back to reddish now, so they match. Later in the show mini-Justin whomped on mini-Joey's butt(Actually it was Chris). I didn't know that they actually had marionettes like that for sale. I might actually buy one, but I don't know how I feel about shelling out twenty-something dollars for anything that's not electronic. If it came as a five-for-one packaged deal, then I probably will.
Boxers or briefs? Boxers or briefs? Boxers or...aren't you all tired of that yet? And what the heck is a boxer-brief, Lance!? I personnally feel that boxers are much more comfortable and allows for better air circulation, and can't really imagine why grown men would wear briefs, but that's just me. Maybe it's better for the dancing.
It's always nice when people are able to comment on *NSYNC's total control over themselves. Actually, I don't know if they have total control, obviously there are still complications, but I get the gist. They really have no strings to hold themselves down upon. Justin looks half asleep, by the way.
I thought that it was interesting when they talked about what they would be doing if they weren't *NSYNC. Especially Chris manufacturing air conditioners. Really, air conditioners are such an important part of our culture and society, who knows where we'd be if we didn't have people to make ACs? Joey being an actor or back on Universal Studios is interesting. Do you guys think Joey would be as popular as he is today, but in a different way, if he had become an actor? How about Justin, could he make it as an NBA player?
I also thought it was interesting when the webmaster person asked them about their other projects, like FuManSkeeto etc., but I was disappointed when that dude cut her off before she could ask about the Justin Timberlake Foundation. Hmph.
I was a little confused by their responses to the "Who decides what you wear" question. They dress Lance? What does that mean, they pick out some stuff and then Lance tries them on and does a little runway turn for all to admire and vote on? Nevermind.
Attention, all crazed and irrational fanatics: Stake out your local Wal-Mart at 3:00 in the morning and keep a sharp lookout for a tall lanky man wearing glasses in search of underwear. If you are not sure, approach everyone with a needle and see who screams. Then go home and drink a glass of milk.
It was so cool of them to sing happy birthday to her, even if it was pretty random. And Joey got the lead, too! And then he waved goodbye with his little puppet thingie and it was so funny.
Um, until I actually get to see the entire conference that's all I'm gonna have on this.
