My Artwork
Yes it's true. I really am that conceited. Who woulda thought? But here anyway, are several of my *NSYNC related artwork.
I draw all of these by hand, pencil, and colored pencils. If it were just up to me I'd just have them black and white 'cause I suck at colors, but it'd look bland w/out...*Shrugs*
PS: I take requests:), and not just for *NSYNC, so don't hestitate to tell me what you'd like to see. But note that I am a very busy person and I haven't got all day(Oops...Little Mermaid flashback for a second!)so expect things to go at about a month a pic, or very very likely even slower. And I might not accept all your requests...I mean I'm not really interested in drawing a pic of things that I'm, er, not interested in.
*"Sparks Fly" Justin. Okay, I am officially obsessed with the spark shooters. Do not ask me in what devious manner I would actually employ them if I had them, but I want me some. Now.
I'm actually quite proud of this one. I'm getting used to drawing Justin now, thank God. But to critique my own work, his eyebrows could be thicker and his mouth is shaped strangely. And oops! I did his pants color wrong. Oh well. I like this one.
*"Triple Threat" Another Superbowl inspired one. I know, I know...I know I said about a second ago that I was getting used to drawing Justin. I lied:P. So sue! He's too pale and looks plastic, I know.
As for Chris, I screwed on his coloring big time and had to redraw his arms about four times(I couldn't get them into a position I liked! So sue!), but I think it's okay.
Britney...oops. I can't get her face right. Everytime I draw it it looks different. Kinda like everyone else I draw...
This pic is second draft, actually. The first version turned out way too cartoony. And drawing the eyes was an interesting experience for me. Constituting of staring at big blowup of the folks in a teeny mag for nigh thirty minutes. Wow. My brain hurts. But it was worth it.
*"Visions Around You" JC. Okay...wrong season. And facial structure. And...instrument:p. Oh well, this was just a cool concept I've had ever since Grammys. I dunno how good it is...I like it, but...I intentionally spent about three minutes on each of the surrounding folks because I wanted JC to be the highlight, just like in their performance, which is why the couple has, uh, no face. In fact I was going to have them just all in B&W and in very pale highlighting, but that didn't go over too well at all in a snowy landscape, so I went back, darkened their lines and colored them.
*"Joseph" Who else? Inspired by the Justin Arena Homme shoot. It was actually originally gonna be Justin just like in the shoot but then I figured...I just didn't care about him that much lol.
I'm prepared for the backlash to this. I mean it's not all that often that one draws an erotic shirtless photo of one of the guys. And what can I say? The notion just came to me and I wanted to do it. Simple as that...no other excuses.
*"Crimson" ...okay yes, hopefully this is just a phase.
I got into Lord of the Rings lately and I wanted to know what Joey would look like wearing armor/as a dwarf. Yes, I'm a highly demented individual, and I colors outside the lines to boot, of this I am highly aware.
I love looking at armor...one of my favorite comics to date is Saint Seiya, which features armors galore filled with amazing designs and concepts and all, and I'll admit I ripped some of them off here lol. But despite loving to look and gawk at cool metallic armor designs, I hate to draw them. Yeah. I prefer drawing cloth more than armor 'cause it's just not as fixed and rigid and all that and yeah I have no idea what I'm saying.
My favorite part of the pic though? The axe. If there's anything I love to look at more than cool-looking armor it's cool-looking weapons. Yeah. Demented.
*NEW! "To Inspiration!" Another Joey one...inspired by his recent exposure and also to thank him for...exposing me to such a fine piece of art, namely RENT. Hence the title of this mugshot...to praise art and the inspiration that puts my pencil to paper, which could be Joey or it might not be. In this instance, seeing a particular pic of Joey gave me intent to create art(well, I copied from the pic obviously lol...do you think I'd actually be able to do this from scratch;)? Not at my nonexistent level!)...so it was my inspiration.
I find that I like doing these closeup shots and might do more of this in the future. To inspiration, indeed.

*COMING SOON: "All-Stars"
*"Forever the Memories" Chris and Dani. Okay, call me sentimental, call me a sap, call me a wuss, but I have a hard time letting these two go so suddenly. I can't draw pugs. Or Dani for that matter. And I screwed on the checker board patterns! Oops...I was constantly reminding myself not to screw up too! But I did...
*"I'll Take You There"(Renamed from "Showtime") Justin and Britney. So there I was, just sketching along, when I suddenly realized that I didn't know how to draw their noses from the side. More problems arose in the slight geometrical errors I made which resulted in Justin staring at Brit's forehead instead of her eyes. Eh well...*searches for an excuse* He's always had problems with eye contact before...also I did Brit's costume wrong. Ah well...
*"Let's Stay Together" Lance and Emmanuelle Chiriqui. Or shall I say, Kevin and Abbey? After all in real life I guess Lance and Em aren't really a couple.
The idea came to me almost immediately after I saw "On the Line" for the, oh, third time;).
I'm actually rather proud of this one...very rarely do I draw people for the first time(Emmanuelle) and have them actually come out looking a even a bit like they do in real life lol. I mean now that I'm looking at it again it looks like her breasts are drooping a bit and she isn't wearing a bra, but...still!
Uh...if you haven't read it yet, these are pretty much SPOILERS. Big ones. Then again, if you haven't read it yet you probably won't get around to the spoiled point anyways so *Shrugs again*.
*SailorMoon Okay, no, do not laugh.
*Guardian Force Final Fantasy fans, yes it's true...Squall and Rinoa from FF8. Me = Huge fan. So after watching the recent movie I decided to just try and do an abstract picture of them. It turned out okay, abstract-wise, I guess. Rinoa looks kinda Goth, which she is anything but...
I think there's something about adding "wings" to someone that just makes them so...supreme. So beautiful. Something ultrahuman and grand is implied with the addition of wings that is missing without. I deliberately left the wings unhighlighted to show them as something superhuman, supernatural, but is somehow just a natural part of Rinoa. With it wrapped protectively around the cold, detached man, she is his angel. His guardian angel and force.
I've found that I like doing the hair and the face of a person in an almost perverted manner:o. Especially the eyes. Whenever I shape the eyes, designate the lips and even the nose, strand out the hair, it almost feels like I'm a makeup artist touching up on the mascera or adding texture to the strands of hair. I'm responsible for making this "person" look beautiful, and it's a strange feeling. And it's prideful. There's nothing more prideful to an artist, I think, than to have his or her own creations turn out exactly the way he wants or maybe even better.
Weird, huh? Don't I know it.
*Rogues X-Men, anyone? We've all seen the movie. We've all seen the original. We've all went "WTF!?" when we noticed how differently the character of Rogue was portrayed in almost every manner. And in this I tried to portray that...It's not that I don't like Anna Paquin's Rogue, but it is obviously so very different from her original incarnation. And I tried to show that. The beauty of the movie Rogue is just subtle in every way, very shadowy, I used more than one color on all of her apparel to achieve that. Her white streaks are very deliberate. Barefoot. You don't know whether she is smiling or frowning. She's a mystery, a true rogue. As opposed to her comic book counterpart who is very extreme with her...assets;). She's obviously not hiding her feelings, she loud and proud. Her hair is wild but kempt. She is strong. Bright, sunny colors. She's leeeeeegs, and she knows how to...okay you get the point.
I wanted to show that while they are on opposite sides of the spectrum, they are both unique and sexy in their own way. Hopefull I achieved that:).
*Split Chick Mandy Moore. Lol, you know what? I drew this faaaaar before I saw the "Cry" video that just recently aired, and someone told me that Mandy would never wear something like this..and then the video aired and of course she wore a dress very very very much like this, except of course that it was black instead of white(so was her hair)...and she didn't, er, show so much leg. Lol.
I really do like Mandy. I think I may like her more than Britney or Christina. So I tried to incorporate everything I liked about her into this one pic. I think I may have made her more corpulent than she really is, but hey. My fav part of the pictures has got to be her hair, I think I did a really good job on her hair.
...not to brag or anything, lol.
*Celestial Natalie Portman. All hail, Queen Amidala. Well, she's a senator now, but it was just too hard for me to give up that memorable makeup pattern.
Someday I hope to meet Natalie, really, and just ask her if she knows that she's flawless. Like, literally flawless. You can swim in all that flawlessness. Her face is like...(O_O)
There's this old saying in Chinese proverbs and all that saying not to draw feet onto snakes. It just teaches not to overdo something when it's already perfect and sufficeable. I really learned that the hard way drawing this 'cause if you notice on the top of her head, I had originally drawn her with her original Queen's head ornament thingie on, which wasn't part of the original layout, I just added it on as a spur-of-the-moment thingie without really thinking. And it looked horrible. Like it was...ughers, what was I thinking? And I had to go intense eraser mode and kill the whole dang top of her head which is such bad procedure for for pencil art, I know.
Then I was gonna add it so that her left hand was holding a blaster, but then I remembered what happened earlier with the snakes and the feet and the Confucius something or other and discarded the thought. Now that I look back on it I think it might actually look better with a blaster in her left hand after all since her left hand is a bit shroaded and not easy to see...oh well.
But other than that, I really like this one and hope y'all do too;). I forget how fun it is just to draw pretty girls once in a while.
*Dark Knight Hayden Christensen
Lol I'll say this up front...I'm proud of this one, really I am, but I don't think it looks very much like Hayden at all. What's weird is that I do think it looks a lot like Anakin Skywalker, I just don't think it looks like Hayden. Does that make sense? It's like I captured a lot of Anakin but not a whole lot of Hayden, which is weird since I was looking at a picture of Hayden out of costume to draw this, and not Anakin(except for the costumes). Ah, the mysteries of the universe.
And meanwhile, allow me to rant for just a moment;)...you'd think that finding quality pissed-off-looking pictures of the future Darth Vader would be simple, like pictures of the future Darth Vader looking pissed off should be prevalent on every corner of the galaxy(internet), but noooooooooooooooo.
But I had fun drawing this one anyway(^_^), since it's the first time I attempted Hayden, and I never really heard of him or seen his work besides for Star Wars, so it was a fun challenge. Kinda. Not really. But still
.
*NEW! Goddess Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Lords how I worship this woman. With the recent onslaught of Sarahmania(Buffy finale(which kicked so much azz), MTV Movie Awards(tehehehehehehaetlsah), Scooby Doo(although I hate that mangy mutt)), you know I just had to. And add in my aforementioned scary fetish with cool-looking weapons and armor and here we are. Or I could just be living out a very long-aged fantasy to draw Sarah's cleavage. You be the judge.
I do like this pic, and I don't overly like spending massive amounts of time to point out flaws in my work 'cause I pretty much live under the philosophy that if you're not proud of your work and that you give off the impression that you're not proud of it, no one else is gonna like it either. But I just gotta point out that I could have made the hair a lot less...messier. I went overboard a bit in the curling and mussying. Also, the crossbow(how many the heck times did I have to redraw that piece of junk? Grr. You can see the aftermaths of my battles on that pic too. Although ultimately I love the feeling it gives)and its angle makes her left arm look deformedly long, even though I have measured it over and over again and physically it is not out of proportion with either the right arm or the rest of the body. The things that optical illusions will do to ya.
I have drawn Sarah before, several times in fact, and I'm especially crapped out that I lost this pure black and white sketch I did of her face on lined paper like three years back. It was the best work I ever did on her and I did it completely w/out reference(ie w/out modeling after an existing picture, completely from my mind). When I find it, and I will, I totally plan on posting it...but until then enjoy;).
*COMING SOON: "Corte Vena."
So um, you know, the whole putting up artwork idea is kinda stupid/pointless/geewhattheheck if y'all don't give me some responses to my work:)! Feel free to say anything, don't worry, I won't bite(I'll just send a special virus onto your harddrive so that all the jpgs on your computer turn to porn of old women...er, nevermind;)).
