THE "MY BUDDY" DOLL
A Good Guy Wanna-Be.
Hasbro's "My Buddy" Hasbro's "Kid Sister"
These little darlings were released by Hasbro toys in1985 and re-made by Play School in the early 90s. There were two versions: the male "My Buddy" doll, and the female "Kid Sister" doll. I actually had previously owned both of these dolls, but I had overreacted when I was younger by tying them up, beating their faces in, and disposing of them. Yes, Chucky frightened me when I was a kid but really, the likeness of the My Buddy doll and Good Guy doll was a little too much to ignore. The thing really scared the crap outta me.
Recently, on eBay, I noticed that some woman was selling one of these things. Here I quote what she had said on her auction page:
Help me someone. I think I have an Evil, Haunted Doll. Back in the early 90's my daughter found a "My Buddy" Doll made by Play School. She said a girl at her school through it away and she picked it up. I should have taken it away then but I didn't. It didn't matter because she gave it to me in less than a week and asked me to throw it away. She seems vary afraid of it but wouldn't tell me anything or talk about the doll even to this day. I put the doll in my garage thinking that it looked so much like the character Chucky from the movie, I could use it for a Halloween decoration, which I did. Unfortunately a young trick or

treater grabbed it and pulled away crying with a bloody finger. He said it bit him but I thought he scratched himself on the bush the doll was sitting on. I put it on the top shelf of my garage after that. One day it fell off the 7' shelf and scratched my new car as well as putting a little ding in it's forehead. Other strange things happened near the doll. I don't want it, you can have it for one cent, my opening bid.
Coincidence? =3
