Let me just say, thank God for Brad Dourif. Everyone, please�just give props to the man. It is now almost twenty years since the first Child�s Play, and the man has voiced Chucky for every single movie. Including this crappy-ish one. Brad saved it from being a COMPLETE pile of shit.
Before I go into my bitching, let me just say what I LIKED about this film. I LOVED all the Chucky scenes. Obviously. He�s back, he�s still witty, and he�s still kicking major ass. My favorite line being from this movie, �Don�t fuck with the Chuck!� Ha!
Totally awesome.
Anyway, what I didn�t like. First, let me say, I�m sure that this movie could�ve been a hellova lot better if more time was spent on the script and stuff. I may need to check, but I believe that this came out only NINE MONTHS AFTER Child�s Play 2! As I�ve heard Don say before, you need to give the audience time to miss the characters. In this case, it is so true.
First off, I was sorta pissed that Andy grew up. I mean, it�s much more frightening when a six-year-old is being stalked by a killer doll�not a fucking teenager! Justin Whalin got on my nerves, anyway. As did Chucky�s new �friend-to-the-end�, Tyler (Jeremy Sylvers). I don�t know who told those two they could act�but whoever it was, he was most certainly some fucking pothead.
*Sigh.* But anyway, yes. Andy was sent to military camp, shit happened, Chucky killed people, more shit went down, blah blah. Chucky got killed.. The end.
Please, if you�re not a Chucky fan, don�t watch this movie and judge the whole series based upon it. Even us Chucky fans know it was lacking.
