Alrighty, then! My favorite flick! Okay, guys. Rather than bore you to hell with a recount of the story, I will just express to you my thoughts on it. If you have yet to see the movie, please do so soon. This one is definitely one you CANT miss!
Ah, Childs Play. Really the best one to check out if youre looking for a thrill. Remember, though. If you have small children or younger brothers and sisters, take my advice and DONT watch this around them. For an adult this movie should be fine, but for a child it really is very horrifying. I cant even begin to tell you how deathly afraid I was of Chucky back in the day. I still remember the nights I stayed up late crying to my father about how if I went to bed, my My Buddy doll would kill me. Really because it looked so similar to Chucky to me. (To find out more about THAT doll, please check out the Buddy Doll section.) Anyway, yes. This movie is most certainly my favorite out of all five so far, (although Seed comes at close second.) The special effects in this flick are AMAZING for its time. The puppet work is really fantastic, not to mention the ever-wonderful voice work of the almighty Brad Dourif. Katherine Hicks also did a great job playing Andys mother in her one and only Childs Play movie appearance. And Alex Vincent really was a wonderful actor for a child of his age. The only thing I didnt like about this movie was the lack of Chucky appearances. Really, you do see him a good many times, but not quite enough for my taste. This movie was leaning towards the typical everything revolves around the victims horror case. Although you do see a bit of Chuckys personality, you dont really get to see his witty, arrogant side, which are some of the things I love him for. Dont get me wrong, I love this movie to death. I just wish Don had the idea of letting Chucky run free at this point in time. The result wouldve been interesting. Anyway, if youre a Chucky fan, you know how class this movie is already! If yer not, get the hell off my page! Four out of Four Stars for this, bitch! |
