So you thought my first $850 HT was good, huh? How bout another option? Well, tests are in, and it looks like the Onkyo TX-DS595 has a mighty competitor...The Denon AVR-1802. Why is it so great? Maybe because I bought last year's 1801 for my self and fell in love. It's harder to set up than the Onkyo, but once it's said and done, the proof is in the pudding. It sounds great and it's a tank, just like the Onkyo. I adivise anyone to check out the new 1802, which has all the main surround formats the 595 has. www.etronics.com: $340.

This Velodyne 5-piece speaker package and the 1802 would make a great couple. Check out Secret's review. Enough said. onecall.com: $250

Wanna take full advantage of that Dobly Digital or DTS track? Why not get all the air-moving, wall imploding bass you can handle? I recommend the JBL PB-12. My friend picked up the JBL PB-12, and after hearing it for myself, so should you. www.bestpriceaudiovideo.com: $250
