On January 17, 1955, a child was born to a drunken father and a drunken mother. This child began his 1st 5 years in a foster home where he was told that his parents were dead. For punishments he was made to eat soap and was severely whipped with a razor strap. One day while trying to cross the street he was hit by a hit-and-run driver and broke his leg. At the age of 5 a man shows up and suddenly he is this child's father. This child moves in with this man and has his 1st hot beer at the age of 5. During his time with this man he was beat with everything from a switch, a cane and a closed hand. This child slept under the bed more often than on the bed. He also had to stand by and watch this man beat the step-mother with pots and pans until she would bleed. At about the age of 10, this child began to have epileptic seizures. This child had very few friends. As far as the girls where concerned, who wanted a boyfriend that might have a seizure at any moment? This boy could not participate in sports at school because of the seizure problem and the fact that he was too little. So he spent his time delivering papers, cutting grass and shoveling snow. After this child had saved up $1,000 his father took $500 of it. He was not given the opportunity to get his drivers license or a car until he became 18. As things became more difficult at high school with no friends, this child quit school. He did go on and get his G.E.D. and a A.S. degree and 2 B.S.B.A. degrees. As a adult this person has always had problems making and keeping friends. That is why he has none. He went to church for 30 years, no friends. He tried to learn music and joined some of the internet groups and was run off because people did not like him. He went to jams and was run off because he couldn't keep up with the music because he is a beginner and always will be. If bluegrass people treat human beings like that then I hope that they can live with themselves after this child's/adult time on earth has run out.Was life ever worth living for this child?
