A Blast from the Past
In 1926, my maternal grandmother, Amy Blanche Curran, left London, England for America.  Only 29 at the time, she was in search of greater opportunities than class rigid Britain could offer her at the time.

Before leaving, my grandmother had her closest friends sign a small autograph book for her as a token of their friendship.  Some left quaint little wishes, while others painted or drew marvelous little pictures for her.

These messages and images are fantastic little snapshots of post-World War I Britain, and I'd like to share them with you now.

Let me know what you think, and please let me know if you have similar mementos!
Picture One - "Radio for all!!!"
Picture Two - "I'm not afraid of the Germans!"
Picture Three - "Chase me!"
Picture Four - "Oh!  A cow!  I'm off!"
