Intake Fun!
Here is what I did with my intake. First, I got a RAT FloSport intake, which
consists of a large K&N-style cone, a couple of rubber bellows, and a
smoothed piece of metal tubing, with grommets for sensors. The cone bolts onto
the MAF, and the rest replaces the factory tubing. Here is a picture of it
installed, leaving the bottom of the airbox:

What I did was remove the bottom of the airbox, as well as the factory intake
resonator. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now:

Notice the high-tech multi-purpose hole repairer (read: duct-tape). It
covers the hole to the wheel well that the intake resonator previously covered.
I was getting a ton of water from there, and the filter was getting wet, which
is not good. I thought about making a heat-shield, but after driving around for
a while with the engine warmed up, I popped the hood and the filter is cool to
the touch, before it was hot.
