In the year of 1998, the Teletubbies invaded America. Children were seen everywhere toting plush figures of Tinky-Winky, Laa-Laa, Dipsy, and Po. The show was succeccful, until Jerry Falwell, admitted homophobe, publicized Tinky's homosexuality.
"He's a flamer and I think he will burn in Hell!!!" cried Falwell to his clansmen. Falwell's prejudiced outburst, however, did not curve the 2-9 year old audience's viewing patterns.
The show continued to be a success. But in March, 2001, Po became addicted to the S&M underground. She got several piercings in an attempt to gain viewers of the 'Hot Topic Shopper' area. This attempt was thwarted when Tinky-Winky tried to gain more of the drag-queen audience in a fatal catfight.
Tinky's death catalyzed an increase in ratings. In fact, viewer audiences skyrocketed. The show was purchased by FOX for $10,000,000, and added new cast members, including Bill Clinton, Jerry Springer, and a couple 40 year old ex 90210 cast members.
