Gee, dana, this chicory flower is a pretty blue, isn't it? you may borrow it from me as a screensaver. i'm certain that chicory has been known since olden times, not only are the flowers lovely, the roots, when roasted, may be added to coffee. i learned from herr pollinger that in germany they used to roast hazelnuts to add to coffee, as coffee was an expensive import, while hazelnuts were local. i always liked hazelnuts. they are hard to crack! my mother-in-law's name was Ruth Hatzel. Ruth. did you listen to "Wherever You Go" on the monks of weston priory album of the same name? the song is ruth's promise to naomi. i'm sure you'd appreciate it. another good one is Wood Hath Hope, by the st. louis jesuits. a real old one is For You Are My God, by the word of God prayer community in the '70s. That's the charismatic prayer community that created the LIFE IN THE SPIRIT seminars. i was a charismatic christian in the 70's. i never stopped. many did. don't ever stop. You must love God as if He is your closest companion [He IS!] and as you realize this, He will make new things known to you, every day! Today i was amazed at the reaction time of sparrows. If you toss one a couple of bread crumbs, a sparrow can find 3 of them, and pick them up separately, and precisely in about 2/3 of a second. we must live and think in slow motion compared to them. Jesus must have contemplated sparrows, he speaks of them. have you ever seen them ask for food? They just open their mouth and ask! As i was saying, will you marry me dana? darling? i love you. |
