Vellum with Stencils
Using a stencil on vellum is like using it on regular paper, except that the patern comes out with a white outline.  This is really good when you're doing Christmas cards because it gives it a snowy look.  Don't put too much pressure on the vellum though or else it will rip the paper.  Since the paterns are all in white, I usually use a darker color as the background.  However, make sure you use some other way of sticking the vellum to your dark background, because if you use double-sided tape, it'll make opaque spots and ruin the transluscent look  the vellum creates.
