| Chubes12: Forgotten Journal of the lost times It's already July, and It still feels like school JUST ended! It's not FAIR how time flies by! Happy Fourth of July fellow Americans!!! America is 230 years old, and Chubes12 is 2 years, and 5 months old! Big Birthday Celebration Time! French Bastille Day anyone? There's another celebration! July can be just as interesting as dull, so make sure to make it fun filled, so it can be a great piece of your summer vacation! July: 7-4-06 As said in the July Journal Banner, today is the Fourth of July, and this is a big 230 years old for America! I will move the June Updates to the Old News section in the next update, but since June 30's Update was posted at the same time as this update, it would be bad to put it away immediately after it got posted. Plus, it's getting late, and I don't feel like back logging right now. If there's going to be any website updates for this month it's going to have to be in the next update! A month from now will mark the big update, as it will be the 2 1/2 years old marker! That's half of 5 years, so it really is a big mark! Sorry this update as been so short an uneventful, but it can't be helped, because right now I'm on vacation, and I can't reach a computer, so technically this update is four days old, and was posted on June 30th, but I'm leaving on vacation bright, and early tomorrow, and can't do the post tomorrow to make it three days early, so that in mind enjoy Fourth of July everyone in America, and don't be afraid to let off some fire crackers if you're not an American. Think of it THIS way, imagine the anger of your neighbors when you light a fire cracker at midnight, and theyre sleeping, because it's not a "holiday" for them. That is "almost", if not MORE exciting than an American Fourth of July. Maybe someone should try that out. Email me if you do. With that said, this is the end of this update! 7-8-06 I'm sorry I couldn't update for real on the 4th, but as said previously there was no computers available during that week! I really want to do an ALTTP Walkthrough Update for my Monthly Update, but I just got back from vacation a few hours ago, and the day is young indeed. IT'S 4:05 IN THE MORNING FOR GOSH SAKES!!!! I absolutely WILL NOT do anything for this site other than this meezly update on my life PERIOD right now! I drove all night trying to get home today, so I don't really feel like doing anything real serious for the site right now. Anyways while away from home I played Chrono Trigger some more, and earned two new endings. I now have endings 1, 2, and 3 unlocked, and completed, but beating Lavos may not be hard, but seriously, IT'S EXTREMELY BORING to fight Lavo's AGAIN, and AGAIN. I'm tired of fighting Lavos, and tired of listening to my cat howling for attention at leaving her alone for a week. I "almost" beat Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade for my PSP, but no where on the packaging did they say how repetitive, or endless it would end up being. It is the type of game that is fun, but begs for an ending, and is never given one. I have to destroy about 4, or 5 separate countries armies in about 20 missions per each, beat out a bad guy, and all his minions, kill my queen, retrieve useless weapons from long forgotten hippies who "apparently" did something important, and just "happen" to be called the brotherhood of the blade, and did I forget, for some reason despite killing all the armies leaders, the big bad guy himself, and ALL his minions, and my Queen, now there is still "evil" go figure huh, AND I have to revive the hippies in the brotherhood, because for some reason after fighting off the entire world, and all it's leaders I'm not strong enough to kill off the evil as the hippies are. Plus, depite doing all this WITH NO SLEEP EVER, I still have time to be a hired killer at will, just because a harmless shepard feels I might be useful. The rewards for doing so? Worthless weapons I have no desire to equip. Not to make this game sound bad, or anything, but it is starting to get on my nerves, and I want an end, I'm tired of all this, "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE" stuff! I need to catalogue the June articles, and make a July Monthly Update, but that can't happen now, and probably not later today either, because I want to see Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest! After waiting since about November for this I simply can't wait to see it! 7-10-06 Yeah, two days ago I did see Pirates of the Caribbean, and it was great, but since it undid all the standards set forth in the previous movie, I don't like it as much as the first movie. Yesterday, I spent a lot of time playing Lost in Blue, and it was time well spent. I beat the game, and got my third ending, plus I recieved all the items from the bandit camp to allow an opportunity to get any ending at any time. Yep, with all the bandit items I can access at least three of the four endings, but one is up for debate, because one it is the hardest ending, and two it may not be possible, because I have all the bandit items, and even worse it's the only ending I've never gotten before, because I got all the items to get the other ending I had never gotten before. I got the steal the boat ending, but now I want to escape in the crates in that ending. I have played Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade, but I've gotten a little bit further, and once again am tired of it. I worked on my ALTTP Walkthrough, and hope to complete the Dark World Level 7 revision later today. That is all for now. Update: I have now completed the Dark World Level 7 Edit! It is late at night, but it took this long to sum up the motivation to do this edit. I'm glad to have this level behind me, because now I only have the last one left. The last one has a major fork in the road of travel, and in my Dark World Level 8 Edit I will create a mini Walkthrough to cover the other path, which I didn't do before. The two paths are really quite large, and I felt like doing my favorite one last time, but this time I will cover the other path. I will also do the regular edit for the rest of it as well like always. Then, I will prepare the rest of the Walkthrough for mass distribution. Yes, I "actually" plan to release this where the general public can view it, "amazing" huh? I'm glad I'm almost done with it, because It's starting to get pretty old, and for good reason. At the end of August It will be two years old! This update is done for the day there is no more to say, and there won't be anymore later either. 7-15-06 I'm leaving for another week long vacation, the THIRD one this summer. All of them had only a week break between them, but fortunatly it is the LAST one for this summer, and that means I will have more time for to work on this website, but made it be known. Though I will have no vacations to take up my time, I won't be putting a whole lot of thought towards the site during that 5 week block of time. No, I have a major project I have to do, and it will take up a lot of my time. It is a restoration of a hidden garden. It's for a non-profit organization. That, as I've said to many people is my main concern this summer, not things like this. I have tried to work on this site though. I completely mapped out the Basement of Dark World Level 8 yesterday just to make some progress on Dark World Level 8 exploration. While making the map I realized that the West Path through the basement is a lot easier, and faster than the East Path, but my Walkthrough covers the East Path, but as said before I will extend my guide to cover the West Path as well. Now, that the hardest, and biggest floor of the dungeon is mapped out on paper writing the guide for it will be pretty simple, but it can't be done now, tomorrow, or this next whole week, because I'm leaving in NINE hours. Good bye for another week everyone. One thing though, I've pulled all the updates from June off this page finally. While doing this I tightened up the page a bit in an effort to make it smaller. 7-23-06 I'm back from the last of my vacations. If you really must know, this last vacation was a summer camp. Specifically, it was a Boy Scout Camp, because that's how I get out of the house, I would have no life if it weren't for things like that. Anyways I made a completely unexpected update today. An update I never even thought about doing for the last several months. I made three new Computer Art Pieces, and posted them in the spoof section under Computer Art. This makes a total of 12 pieces in there now! I originally posted the computer art in the spoof section, because 1. They are silly jokes, and 2. They looked so crappy. Now, they don't look so crappy anymore. Now, they look intentionally crappy a bit, but look so much better than before, and shine forth with so much more potential than previous pieces. I will make more very likely eventually, but I don't seriously make a lot of those anyways. I hope to work on Dark World Level 8 for ALTTP soon too. 7-26-06 I haven't done much in the way of updates. I want to do an ALTTP Walkthrough Update, but my days end up so short, and I've played Chrono Trigger A LOT lately. Basically I beat Lavos about twice a day. Getting two new ending every day. I have only 3 endings left to get, with 9 behind me. I tried to get my Eagle Scout Project approved today, but sadly failed. Turns out it wasn't planned out. It was more of a job, than a project. Now, I'm back to the drawing board. I have even less time for this now I'm afraid. In the way of actual updates I have rethinked Peace Sword VI - X, and now I've come to the conclusion that they can be text editted finally. The plot for VI was finally resolved, and I finished it. VII was so random I decided to scrap it, it seemed to be too much of a comedy, and didn't fit at all. It's in the Peace Sword Extra's II now! VII needs to be completely made up from scratch now, but this means it will be A LOT better! VIII can be editted pretty easily! IX will be as tricky as VI was, and it might get scrapped as well! X is completely out of place, but can't be scrapped! With A LOT of editting it should be fixable. Yep, these are a quite a challenge to modernize, but that's why I skipped editting them in the first place. They're 5 of the last 10 to be editted, so I have to edit them now! Oh well, it should end up to be not too bad! 7-29-06 12:14 AM Yes, it's THAT early right now, or late however you interpret it. I'm updating today to proclaim that I have beaten Chrono Trigger COMPLETELY! I have beaten it on all 12 ENDINGS! Now, all the unlockables on the Playstation Edition are UNLOCKED! There is only one thing left for me to do on that game now. That is to beat Lavos in the Dark Ages when he's suppossed to kill Chrono. Only this time I'll kill him, but of course this is VERY hard to do, and will probably be the hardest battle I've ever encountered with him, but it'll be worth it. By the way, with Peace Sword VII I came up with a good plot, but I'm too lazy to work with it yet. Sorry, about that, it's just that I've been playing too much Chrono Trigger to do much else recently. That, and good old Boy Scouts! ...and vacations? Too bad this is such a pitiful update, but that's the jist of MOST updates after all. I like the look of posting what time I start my post, I hope I do that more often. It really is a fun thing to do. Yeah, I'd like to say an ending time as well. Hmmm.... August is really close, and I'm not really all that excited about it either. More school, a lot of work, and less summer to look forward to. 12:19 AM -End of Post- Update: 4:57 PM It's MUCH later in the day now, and I've had a full night's sleep! Anyways I decided to go ahead, and finish Peace Sword LII! Do you know the implications of that though? I didn't think so. This means that Peace Sword LI - LV are all done! All five of those comics are done, and occording to my policy if a set of 5 comics are finished they can be released to the public! With that said I present the five comics at last to the public! I've said for a VERY long time, that I was in the process of working on the last 10 comics simultaneously, but I also said that I still had comics left to do in both sets of five! My policy is to ONLY release comics in sets of five, and with neither set done, I had no choice, but to NOT release any of the comics. Well, at last I've finished one of the sets, and it's on my Comics Site! It is the ending five comics, not the beginning five. I wanted to finish the beginning before the end, but the end were more interesting to draw, so they have been finished first. In this way I can deliver comics at last, without holding them back simply for my pride in releasing the first comics first. Anyways, the other set of five are not as important to the plot, or as interesting to draw. Even worse, there's still two of them left to draw, so it could be awhile, before they're released. Regarding the five comics just released, and the five which follow afterwards in the plot, which were released months ago, none of these 10 are good enough to call done. They need a lot of work, and refinement, especially the latter five. The thing is these are exactly what they're called, they're roughdrafts of the comics. They are subject to change when I make them finals. As I made them I constantly changed my mind, and they don't all fit together perfectly, but at least they have been made, so they can be viewed. They are better than the empty void they are filling, but don't worry they will be better eventually. They display their meanings completely though, and the plot points are there some things, are just contradicting eachother, and aren't displayed properly, or completely. It is good to have them drawn out all the way though. Well, this is all I have for today, and I would say this is a GREAT update compared to all the others I've done recently. 5:10 PM -End of Post- This is the 200th Update!!! Chubes12: Famous... or Not? You decide. I say we are ALL famous on the internet! Type in Chubes, and TONS of things show up on Google. TONS!!! Many are actually related to me! August is not a fun month, as is probably known by basically every kid. It means only another month remains before dreaded school begins anew! For Chubes12 this is probably the best news all summer! Chubes12 hits it's best updates of the year during August, I don't know why, but it's been the case so far! August: 8-4-06 I came up with a wacko idea two days ago, and yesterday turned it into reality! I came up with a NEW comic, but it's not really that good! It's called Food Groupies, and I've made five so far. These five comics I released on my Favorite Comics site, and It's the monthly Update! Every time I read them they seem better than before, and you'll probably get a laugh in at how lame, and maybe funny they are, who knows? This isn't a big update, but I have very little to say, and the monthly banner covers a lot of what I had to say anyways. 8-7-06 Updates may be slower than last August. Today, my Grandpa has died. Last year my Grandma died in August, but a week and a half from now on August 17. They were my only Grandparents, but they couldn't live without eachother. Now, I have no grandparents, and I've never felt this way before. I had nightmares with my first Grandma's death, confusion with my second Grandmother's death, and deep sadness now with my Grandfather's death. In other news I got a second NES at a garage sale. It works perfectly like the other one, and they are both the front loading NES models. I got a second Zapper gun, a NES game Storage Case, and eight game sleeves. Three Nintendo Sleeves, and five plain sleeves. The games were okay, but not great. I had one repeat, and four duds beyond that. The other four games are keepers though. Even the repeat is a keeper. For those who have grandparents still, please take care of them. Tell them you love them, and do everything you must to eliminate your regrets. Theres things you need to do, things you want to do, and things you feel you must do. Do these things while your grandparents are alive, don't wait till their gone. Do at least that. 8-19-06 I'm sorry I really didn't intend to leave you as the audience hanging for so long. Has it really been almost 2 weeks since my grandfather passed? I hadn't realized. Anyways I'm totally okay now, and I don't want to hear any mention of the above post please. Anyways I've become very active once again on Runescape over the past two weeks, and have become a member on the game. My name is Chubes12 just like the site, and I have another character called George Black directly named after my comic hero in Peace Sword. If you play the game look out for them, but email me first, because to avoid spammers, I've put my private chat on friends, I can add you if you email me, and request it. If you would like to talk on runescape email me sometime, and we can do that. I have nothing to update today on the site, and I am very sorry about that. I want to do a Peace Sword, or ALTTP Walkthrough Update, but I have only a month membership on Runescape, and don't want to waste it. Plus, I'm going to be very busy until school starts. This is what I've been meaning to say for awhile. That is all! 8-21-06 I told myself that I had to either update my Peace Sword Comics, or make ALTTP Walkthrough Dark World Level 8 Edit today. Naturally, I chose to make a new Peace Sword Comic, because it was easier. Now, this leaves only one comic left to be made to finish the main series! Yes, you heard me right. After this I hope to make side comics that work similar to the half comics at the beginning of the series. Basically, I want to give more of a story to Josh, and I think I may give a small mini series to Michael, and George with their school days, but this is completely in the idea phase, and isn't likely to proceed beyond that. In addition to making a side comic half series for Josh, I think I might do one for Pat, and the Mafia Guy. That's not just a dream soon it should become reality. Also, due to problems with the Java applications I made my self description smaller, and the date, and time stamp was moved to the bottom of the page. 8-22-06 Due to inspiration, and idea's from yesterday I made ANOTHER Peace Sword Comic TODAY! This means I have finished ANOTHER set of five Peace Sword Comics! Now, I have the ENTIRE series published on my Comic Site!!! View them sometime please. Anyways this means I have some options available to me. One, I can computerize the 20 comics I've made in rough draft form, which I'll probably do eventually anyways, or Two, I can make new comics expanding the story's of all the characters including the Mafia Guy in the form of half comics, or Three I can make a whole new series of Comics. First of all, I don't really like option number three, so I will probably stick with either one, or two depending on which I'm more in the mood for. I might do a bit of both of, and on I really can't say for sure right now. This is all for today. One last thing, due to reoccuring problems, I had to remove the Java Profile of me, and replace it with an updated text profile. 8-24-06 As typically the last two weeks of summer get very busy on my websites. It's the big updating season for me, and it's quite slower this year than in previous years, but it's really picking up now. I've editted Part I of 2 parts in my ALTTP Walkthough in Dark World Level 8, and if that's not good enough I've also posted this latest version of the Walkthrough on BOTH of my Zelda Websites. Yes, I haven't actually posted it in over 6 months on one, and almost a year on the other. This is all thanks to my first ever fan mail concerning the Walkthrough. Thank him, because the Walkthrough is up to date online! I have nothing else to offer today! 8-25-06 I finished my ALTTP Walkthrough today, but I'm not ready to post it yet. I want to convert the Walkthrough to a text document, so I can attempt to post it on Gamefaqs.com. That's really all there is to say for now. Soon, I want to begin work on a Legend of Zelda Walkthrough for Zelda 1 to follow up to this Walkthrough. Chubes12: School is back already?!? This is scary stuff, and any person going to school should be upset by this I know I am! September is upon us, and is hitting us by storm! It's labor day weekend, and Summer, as well, as August is now officially OVER!!! Time to get ready for school, with nine months of work, and only weekends to still have fun! September: 9-1-06 This is it, this is THAT day! I lost my big toe nail on my left foot exactly TWO years ago, at the back to school barbeque, on this day. I was starting new at a new school, a school I spent the last two years at. Now, I'm starting fresh at another new school, I'm ready, but I don't feel ready as is natural. Anyways, I REALLY need to clear out the old updates on this page, and will try to do something about this soon, as in probably 3 days from now! Also, my ALTTP Walkthrough is now over 2 years old, and it isn't ready to post on a major site yet. Also, I started a follow-up Walkthrough for Legend of Zelda. This one isn't ready to be posted yet, because it has nowhere to go yet. I'll say more on it later! This is it for today! 9-19-06 Amazingly, it took this long to update. I'm sorry about my lack of updates, but I am busier now than I've ever been before. I simply don't have much time for things like this website. I have about 2 - 3 hours of a homework a day now. I came to update to mention a few new things I've bought recently. Two days ago I bought Age of Empires for the DS, and it is PC quality it is awesome. It allows you to follow the adventures of 5 separate races in the middle ages. It gives you the history, tons of technology, and tons of building customization with cities. It also alloys you to fight enemies with all kinds of combatants, in any order. Plus, it works very similarly to Advance Wars. Plus, today I got a Gameboy Micro, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue for the DS. This game unlike the other game is very disappointing. It's all rescues, and annoying repetitive rescue attempts. The Game Boy Micro on the other hand is very exciting. It's very small, has glowing lcd lights in the select, and start buttons, has removable plates for style, and can be comfortably played anywhere. October: Another month of school begins, as the first ends. October is THE month of Halloween. Many kids grow fat in this month of pain, sadness, and house egging. A month of pranks, a month of cheap corporation ploys. We've seen them all before, and we'll see them all some more. The tricks, and fresh, and the treats aren't new, but the candy still does all it ever did before. It rots our teeth, fattens our stomaches, and craves our brains for more. We even go the extra miles beating down our legs just for the excuse of more candy. This dark page in the history of each school year will continue on as it has in the past, and the weather will continue to get worse, and worse as the time passes. Don't let the time pass too quickly, try to enjoy this month however dark it may become. 10-4-06 I am having an unusually good week so far. My homework is lightening up, and lost is tonight! I'm really excited about Season 3 starting soon, and I can't wait to start talking about it. I have played ALTTP a bit lately, and MC a bit lately as well. I only have 2 dungeons left to beat on this play through of MC, and 2 Heart Pieces left to gather on ALTTP. I hope to finish beating those games soon. Concerning updates, I hope I can upload the complete edition of my ALTTP Walkthrough onto my websites as this months update, but I can't right now, as time is a bit tight. Update: I uploaded the Final Edition of my ALTTP Walkthrough on BOTH of my Zelda Sites. I haven't worked on my pivots, comics, or stories in quite some time however. Sadly, the comics are done, the pivot inspiration has left me for some time, and I don't have much time for writing stories, or for editting, and things along those lines. I have very little time to do anything these days, but I really hope I can make up for that by starting up my LOZ Walkthrough. Until the next time everyone, fare well! One last thing, for some odd reason I've neglected to remove the super old updates for the past several months, now July, and August Updates are in the Old News Section, and only September, and October Updates are on the front page! This is the 210th Update! November: Ah, this section. I almost forgot. November, is another stupid month. I don't feel much for discussing dead topics. This is a month full of tons of days of from school this is a nice thing, but a month not well spent on this site. I hope this month ends soon, because it is not a fun month. It has barely started, and I can't wait until it is over. See you next month! 11-4-06 I'll start being honest. I'm sick of working on this site, I don't have a lot to do for the internet anymore. I have better things to do, and every month I have to get a big happy smile, and make a monthly offering to the month anniversary date each month, and it's a load of crap. I made something this month out of motivation, but I want to ditch this site from now on. I will pop in perhaps once a month, but no monthly gift promises now. I don't like my comic work anymore it's busy work, and I have better things to do. I don't want to work on my story, because it's the same thing. I am sick of working on Walkthroughs, and I really just want to scrap any idea of working on a LOZ Walkthrough, because it was a bad idea from the beginning. That's all I have to say. I made a new Peace Sword Comic, which I'll post up now, and I made a computerized version of the first Peace Sword Comic -XXIX, but it I won't post, because it is not in a set of 5, nor is it new content. I might as well say it Ive been watching, that 70s Show for the past 2 weeks, and have watched seasons 1-5 already, but 6-8 arent on DVD yet. I cant wait until they come out as well. 11-12-06 Final Fantasy V came out on GBA on November 6 almost a week ago, and I bought it on November 7. I do like to do brief reviews of the games I buy so I shall do this. Final Fantasy V for GBA is a port of the SNES game. This game was originally an unreleased game in the Americas but was ported to the PS1 in 1999. This version had horrible graphics, a dreadful translation, very slow load up times, a lot of graphical glitches, and errors, and of course the difficulty was as painful as the SNES version. The GBA version improves upon everything. The dialogue is superb as good as all the modern games from VII, and on. The Graphics are really pretty with the same touch ups that IV GBA received. The difficulty is balanced being easier in the beginning, and harder in the end. There is also an added dungeon, as well as added job classes following the tradition of its GBA predecessors, and to top it off it has a music player as its predecessors did. The one thing that makes me mad is I cant finish this game right now Final Fantasy III is coming out on the DS in THREE days on November 14. I will probably do a review for that as well after I buy it on November 15. 11-16-06 Im very happy now! I bought Final Fantasy III today for the DS, and I got a Dragon Two Hand Sword yesterday on Runescape. The Dragon 2Hand is the best Dragon weapon in the game, so I couldnt be happier with Runescape. As I promised heres a review of Final Fantasy III. Final Fantasy III has the best graphics of the first six games. It retains its difficulty by softening the beginning (a necessary touch), and maintaining the original difficulty every where else I think The graphics are absolutely amazing for the DS. The music is really good, a good improvement over the original graphics, and sound Id say. There are some songs that just dont work as well, and some songs shouldnt even be in this game like the opening song derived from Final Fantasy I + IV. I played the original version of this game in a fan translation on NES a few years ago, and this is VERY faithful to that game. The dungeons, and world are layed out exactly as they were in that game. The same towns people, and dialogue is intact. The translation is very accurate, and has enhanced the story greatly. Creating four main characters where there was none before was really a nice touch. The scared guy from the campfire in the original game is actually one of the characters now, and the lone soldier in the castle in the original becomes another of the four characters this time. They really didnt make any changes to this game they only took pre-existing characters, enhanced them, and moved them around. Plus, they surprisingly kept the OLD magic system present in the original three Final Fantasy games, and the OLD Battle System, which isnt the ATB System where they fight whether you like it or not. In this game they CANT attack unless you hit A to allow them to. Final Fantasy I + II had this same battle system, but the old magic system was taken a way unlike in this game. This game is unbelievably faithful whereas I + II were not. I seriously recommend this game for any RPG fan of the DS. If you are having trouble choosing between this game, and Final Fantasy V, which I mentioned in my last update, choose this first, and V second. They really are both great games, but this is superb, and shouldnt be bought second. They are both very true to their original releases, so they should be well liked. Enjoy! December: Why do the weeks leading up to Christmas break have to be so depressing? Why cant we have Christmas break now?? Why cant Christmas break start only a few days before Christmas day??? Why cant Christmas break be longer???? Why do we have to have so many projects, tests, and pain before Christmas????? This is the month of December before Christmas. We dont always like it (did we ever like it?), but we are now so used to it. 12-4-06 Another month ehh? Well, not much to say. Im still really into runescape, and dont really care much about working on this website these days. Im sorry to say it feels useless to add half comics to the Peace Sword series, and Pivot isnt fun to do anymore. I try to do new stuff, but I just am not a very creative person. I may as well discuss the items I shall get, or rather want for Christmas. I want Twilight Princess for Gamecube (not Wii immediately, but as a collector I do want both initially), I also want a Wii (obviously), and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops for PSP, I have to adore my favorite game series its just natural for a gamer like me. As said in previous months, updates just dont come natural to me anymore. This is turning into an inactive blog Im really sorry about that, but I just have stretched my creativity too far. Ive been doing this for almost three years now, and I just dont have much left to prove. Ive done everything (and so much more) that I set out to do, but in regards to my previous wishes I wont kill this site unless Im absolutely, positively done with it. With regards to runescape though, I'm very active, and still go under the name chubes12, usually in world 26 (a member's world), but if you want to be my friend you have to send me an email to my above email adress, or to frankochown at Comcast .net. My Private Message is turned on off at all times, so it appears that I'm never on, but I'm truly on every day. I'll add you to my friends list if you send your name to my email, then as my pm is on friends, you'll be able to contact me. It's a way to meet a geocities webmaster in person you might say. (As close as in person goes internet wise anyways.) 12-27-06 I don't come as often as I should, but I still like to come sometimes. I am pretty crummy to not pop in to celebrate the holidays every so often, and for that I am also sorry. Here I am 2 days after christmas, and I could (and SHOULD) have come on christmas too.... Anyways 2006 is still here, but it will end VERY soon, a few days soon. Theres one thing I have to do which I have almost always done before. I have to discuss my new games, and rate them, ect. I got the Wii, and the included Wii Sports and let me tell you it's very well made. It feels like the real thing in somes games even. It is very cool, and is a good way to get a work out from video games. The Wii is a very cool system, and it plays gamecube games flawlessly. The main problem behind the Wii is it's internet. They say you can browse the internet on it, but I have no idea how. Plus, the internet can only be accessed through wifi. Meaning if you have a wireless internet station that transmits internet signals in your house to your lap tops the Wii can use that, but let's get real most people can't afford more than one computer, nor do they have a reason to have more than one. If you DON'T have more than one you DON'T have a wireless station, and without one you can't play internet on the Wii. This is because you can't hook an internet cord directly into the Wii, it MUST be wireless. I can account for this, because I have only THIS one computer, and no wireless station. Therefore, I have no internet on the Wii. I have two games left to review now. Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is at best medocre. It has awesome graphics on par with MGS3 as they say, but the controls are flimsy, and the story is usually slow. The main problem is a lack of characters, and the most infuriating problem is the lack of continues. Yes, if you die, you restart where you saved, and if you lose your health, or a character it's good bye to those things. This is why I believe it is a waste of money. Lastly, I MUST discuss Zelda: Twilight Princess. It is a WONDERFUL game! It has amazing gameplay, wonderful controls, gorgeous graphics, and fabulous story, and very interesting, believable characters. It is very long, and extremely deep. I must go over the length though... Some charish the enormous length but others very like don't. The game is said to take 100 hours to complete if you do all the side quests, and the entire main gameplay. This is not far from the truth either. It took me 5 hours to get to the first dungeon of the nine total dungeons, and it took 3 hours to complete this dungeon. It then took about another 3 hours to get to the second dungeon. If you want a massive game this is it, this is one of the longest games ever made. For those who dislike long games, hang in their guys It's worth playing despite it's length, and at best you don't have to replay it after beating it. By the way I own the gamecube version, because one: the gamecube version is bound to become much rarer over time, and two: Wii games, accesories, and memory cards are IMPOSSIBLE to find now... I can't save on a Wii Zelda game with no memory card. Well, this is it for this review. 1-4-07 I've upsessed over Twilight Princess, and I am now in dungeon four. I officially hate this dungeon the most so far. It is annoying, time consuming, pointless, and too repetitive. I don't know if any of you have played that game in grades school, but the game where you have to walk on cones, hula hoops, and tires across a field without touching the floor is very annoying, and this dungeon is very UNoriginal by copying that idea. I will be very busy as this month progresses, and am once again VERY happy to NOT have to be dilligent about updating this site on a constant basis. By the way with the problems I've encountered in the past two times with this website program I may be detered from updating in the future if this problem persists. I will, however, be here in a month for updates as it will make the THIRD anniversary of this site!!! Yes, it is a modern marvel for me, I'm really quite excited about it! Well, I guess I have very little to talk about today, but trust me, "I'll be back!" 1-18-07 It's been awhile, but as in tradition I must do this. I bought Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All for the Nintendo DS, a sequel to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney yesterday, and it is a good sequel to a great game. It is well made, and has some interesting stories to be sure. There are some problems that are noticable right a way for those who played the first game. The music isn't as good, it doesn't fit as good, and it often times gives you depression, and disgust when the other game gave you hope. The story won't feel very original, and will feel tacked on to the other stories in the first game. At times you may even believe they wrongly change the story outcomes set in the first game wrongly. This game also plays much harder than the first to the point where you may often realize that the logic used to solve mysteries in this oftentimes doesn't match your own logic, whereas the first game just made sense, always. The gameplay plays much the same, but it doesn't play as well. This game just feels repetitive of the first, and never feels like an improvement over the first. It has many new changes, but most feel more annoying, and some like the music are almost unbearable to listen to. As some people have stated, they believe the music in this game sounds like NES bleeps, and bloops, and I have half the mind to agree with them. This game plays very well alone, and I highly recommend to try it, but if you've played the original you may be dissapointed. Though a true fan will be able to ignore it's flaws and admire it all the same as I have, because it isn't an awful game, it just is the unfortunate game to follow the original. I am buying three more games in the next few weeks, and about every 7 days I will have a new review to a new game, so be prepared for an onslought of new game reviews very much like this one in the weeks to come. If this doesn't feel like a revival of my spirit towards this site, then I don't know what is. The games to follow in this order are, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Final Fantasy VI Advance, and Wii Play. Hotel Dusk is a game made by the creators of Trace Memory also for the DS, Final Fantasy VI Advance is for the GBA, and it is an almost unchanged port of the classic Final Fantasy VI, Wii Play is a sequel of sorts to Wii Sports the game packaged in all Wii consoles for the Wii, and it also comes with a free Wii Remote. 1-21-07 I'm back in an unexpected update, because I'm concerned I gave a bad review for Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice For All. I said it may be dissapointing, has reportedly bad music, and generally has dull, repetive plots. This may still be true, but keep in mind it is as long in game time as the first game dispite being 1 case shorter than the other game, and not ALL four cases in this game are dull, or bad. Case 4 being only 1 of the 4 cases IS good, and I'm willing to say it is THE BEST of all NINE cases displayed between the first two games our there. It is so good, that if you have played the first game you MUST play this game just to be able to play this case. It is an amazing, wonderful, exciting case, and you'd be a fool to not get this game based only off of the flaws I've already stated. I sincerely hope you buy this game, and play it long enough to see this magestic case, It's seriously worth the time, effort, and money spent to get that far. It really is. 1-26-07 I *Finally* got Hotel Dusk in at my local game store. It was 4 days late, but being only 1 of only 2 preorders It got the back burner for awhile I guess I have no reason to complain, because I wasnt in the biggest rush, and it really is a pretty decent game. Anyways, on with the review. This game is a very deep mystery game. It has the basic point and click methods, but really takes advantage of the touch screen like no other DS game has. Also, it plays side ways just like Brain Age, to look like a mystery novel when your playing. It tends to be a bit slow, and if you dont do the right thing, or forget what your supposed to do you may do quite a bit of wandering. There tends to be a lot of puzzles, and questions that wont find answers early on in the game, and if you have no patience for these sorts of things, than this probably isnt the game for you. If youre the type of person who likes seeing deep, twisting stories through to the end then this most certainly is the game for you. Ill be back in about a week to discuss Final Fantasy VI. Be back later. Hmm In a week this site will be 3 years old, so I guess Ill update both on 2-4, and 2-5. (assuming Final Fantasy VI is late (yeah right!)) |
