Chubes 12: Two years old, but more good times to come! Chubes12 is not dead yet! All news from January, and earlier updates are in the Old News Section!
February:
2-1-06 Would you believe it? There is only 3 days until the two year anniversary of this site arrives full swing. I am sorry to say, but I don't have anything prepared specially for the two year anniversary, or for the month anniversary. I've been very busy lately, and school work has been a total drag. I need another weekend to come soon, fortunatly the two year anniversary IS on the weekend. I've played Majora's Mask, and Mario 64 DS lately. Majora's Mask, I haven't played enough, although this is my fifth time through the game, I haven't made much progress, because I've had other things to do. Mario 64 DS I've played a bit more then Majora's Mask, and have gotten my stars remaining total down to 11. This means I have 139 stars out of 150. I have probably at least 5 more easy stars, and the rest are coin stars, and advanced secret stars, in Bowser Levels, and other hard area's. I finally got Final Fantasy NES in the mail today, this completes my American Final Fantasy Collection, comprising of Final Fantasy (I), Final Fantasy II (IV), and Final Fantasy III (VI). It is good, but the battle system is worse then I initially expected, I will try to give the game a fair shot though. I have a few idea's for an anniversary present to the site. A Street Fight 9 Pivot with a green character, an ALTTP Walkthrough Update, a Comic Update, and a Peace Sucks Story Update. Any one of those will work for me, but I will decide later which one it will be.
2-4-06 Yes, it happens to be that special day again. Chubes12 is now two years old! On 2-4-04 this site was born. On 2-4-05 this site featured a one year anniversary, and now this site is witnessing a two year anniversary. As promised a few days ago, I have just the gift for this month, as normal. This time it is an Alttp Walkthrough update, yeah I know those are a little slow these days, it seems its been over three months since I last updated it before now. What I did this time is I editted, and added Script to the Dark World Level 1 Section, and now its complete, and I'm ready to do the things leading up to Dark World Level 2 sometime soon as well. I'm really unsure how the next year for this site will play through. I really never planned for this site to be in such good working order by its second anniversary, and never before now, have I even considered a three year anniversary. I will try to keep this site updated, but whenever I have stuff to share with you guys I will update, so there is some reassurance, but I'm in High School, and every year running a website is harder. Only recently has school felt tough though. This shouldn't effect the website this year too much though. Concerning Mario 64 DS, I have 147 out of 150 stars now, with only an 8 red coin star in the last Bowser Level, a 100 coin star in the third to last level, and another 100 coin star in the last level. My Alttp Walkthough Update has been posted on my Alttp Website, but not on my Main Zelda Website, as it usually is a real hassle. Update: I was still in the mood for work on my ALTTP Walkthrough, so I edited the Walkthrough up to Dark World Level 2, and edited, and added text for all of Dark World Level 4 you can see the latest edition of this Walkthrough at my Alttp Website. Yeah, two Dark World Dungeons completely edited with text add-ins in a twenty four hour period, I think this qualifies as a two year anniversary Update, and I got one more star in Mario 64 DS. I'm not joking about the school situation though, it feels a bit ugly in my World History class. Second Update: I felt bored, as well as inspired, here comes another of my idea's for an anniversary present, except it's a reality NOT an idea. I claimed I would make either Street Fight 9, an ALTTP Walkthrough Update, a Comic Update, or a Peace Sucks Story Update. I went with an ALTTP Update earlier, and then I made another ALTTP Walkthrough Update, both were substantial. Now, here is another one of the four idea's mentioned a few days ago except it's real, this time it is the Street Fight 9 Pivot I threw up in the air. Enjoy my THREE Presents for my two year anniversary. That's better then the two I gave last year.
2-8-06 I've beaten Mario 64 DS finally, and I got all 150 stars. I also beat Trace Memory again. I looking to continue playing Zelda: Majora's Mask now, because 1: I beat all the other games I've been interested in lately besides it, and 2: My Social Studies project, the one that's been a real anchor on my life lately, is finished, once, and for all. About my ALTTP Walkthrough, when I make my next update, whether big, or small, I will probably either take down the second copy of it on my main zelda website, or update the copy on that website. With Majora's Mask, I'm at the entrance to the first level, so I might just start playing hardcore, which I ought to have been doing a few days ago at best. I might as well mention this right now, I'm a Lost fan, end of story. If you want to chat about it, or read about it I'm happy to share it. If you hate Lost, I have nothing to say to you. If you don't know what Lost is, it is an ABC Television channel. It plays on Wednesdays, at 9 P.M. I don't know how that plays in time zones, but whatever. The series has gotten interesting this season. Last season a bunch of quarrels happened, and they seemed big, but this season real battles are just beginning. People WILL kill now, people will torture, kill, and attack pysically, to pass on a message. Innocent characters are turning evil, and taking advantage of eachother. Straightened troublemakers are regaining their edge. It's interesting watch it, I don't see a point for spoilers yet, but I might discuss the new episodes here, if they're really interesting. Oh by the way, with the Street Fight Series, I'm working on the conclusion to the story, as the previous conclusion left alot of possibilities wide open. Street Fight 9 was Part I of the conclusion, as you might have guessed. Street Fight X will either conclude, the series, or lead into Street Fight XI which, WILL end the series for sure. I was content with 8 as the end, but I desired to give Green a role, then I planned out a better conclusion. Street Fight 8 tossed two guys off the screen to the left, and three guys off screen to the right, and the victor remained in the center, and got squashed by the title, but that didn't really happen, as it was a joke, so 9 covered the aftermath of the two guys on the left of the battle field from 8. X should cover the three guys to the right of the battle scene. One is dead, and carries his two guns. The others are alive. If I end it with a victor, then I will make XI with Green, Blue, and the victor of X, or I will include the basic plot for XI within X, but I don't know if I'll do that.
2-9-06 Nintendo released Resident Evil: Deadly Silence for the DS a week early without notice, so naturally everyone in my town has already bought it, I bought it today. It would be nice if Nintendo would acknowledge the game, and state its "week early" release. Anyways, the graphics are mediocre at best, the music is good by Resident Evil standards, and comedy is at an all time high. The game starts out with a cheesy intro of all characters with horrible voice actors screaming like girls at all rabid dogs in a beginning cut scene, and an intro of all characters with a cheesy "starring" slogan, with the intro to each character as if they're in a fighting game, and then the game starts for real. The intro cut scene, however cheesy, was very detailed, and looked like real people, no joke. The game itself, is a full blown zombie survival thriller, including a major lack of ammo, rations, and supplies. It is equally as fun as the original Playstation Resident Evil, which this is a direct port of, and compares well to the Gamecube Remake, by holding never before seen features, which include a built in constant map on the top screen, and more importantly a second mode of play. This mode is a challenge mode of sorts, where there are far more zombies, even in rooms where you couldn't find zombies before, and exclusive features such as stylus knife swinging (very cool), and exclusive touch sensible puzzles. In addition to the Playstation port game, and the deluxe challenge mode, you can play multicart multiplayer, with versus, and cooperative gameplay against friends, where you kill zombies, collect points, and get to the end of the stage before time runs out, and before you die. If all of that isn't enough insentive to buy the new Resident Evil game, I can't help you. Of course if you're under 13, don't listen to me. (Yes, you're required by law to be 17 to play this game, but I wasn't 17 when I started playing these games.) Also if you don't like Resident Evil games, or violent games in general disregard, but if you're a Resident Evil fan, AND you have a DS, (Not that someone like that wouldn't already have this game.) then get this game now! This update was all about my continuing review process for all new games I get that I feel a duty to talk about. Mostly DS games get this treatment, but not all, and only if they're new.
2-12-06 I've been working my hardest to play Majora's Mask through to completion for the 5th time of beating it, but I've had great trouble. Mainly, my Gamecube is dead. Disk read errors galore, and it eventually gets to the point that I can no longer spin the disc to make it continue reading even after an error. It usually gets overheated, and I have to spin it when it gets a disc read error, but even without the error the load up times are unusually obvious on games that don't have load up times, and I have disc read errors on clean, perfect discs, yes more then one discs. On Majora's Mask I'm halfway through, but I can only play in small sessions, I can no longer play in large sessions, so I'm feeling really upset about it, and this dilemma may be a disaster when Twilight Princess comes out in April as they say, but I may ask for a new Gamecube for my Birthday, when it comes around, so that I don't miss too much excitement. Nintendo Revolution will be a nice replacement for the Gamecube though, but I just don't know if I can go without my Gamecube games for a half a year... Too bad fixing the gamecube is so expensive. This month seems to be the, "update every 4 days month." Imagine that... I made a big mistake by accident, I forgot to mention the every 10 update, marks. Last month was a big month it marked 150 updates on 1-24-06. I also forgot to mention 130, and 140 I believe. Anyways I changed them in my copy not on the internet. I may post my master copy of updates someday, but there is really no reason to. |
