Believe it or not, you can get hurt on this trick , especially when done on rails instead of ledges. It actually took me a whopping half a year to actually feel comfortable enough to the point where I could land them everytime on ledges. OK, first off, since you're probably going to start on something little, put your front foot 1 or 2 inches from the front trucks. Not only does it give you more balance, but it allows you to feel a little more comfortable when you have your legs far apart on the board as you're grinding. Now keep your weight centered, and kind of ollie of. Or just kind of push off like its a curb.
