First, and foremost, I am looking to make friends. Cyber friends or local friends. All my life I have been with men much more than women. Three brothers, no sisters, and a Mom not around much. As a result, I prefer men and am more comfortable with men. I need friends, but I'm also looking for that special one!
I was born and raised on a 224 acre farm in Richardson County, Nebraska. I was born on March 20th, the first day of Spring! I was brought to Massachusetts in 1980 under false pretenses. I stayed in a marriage for the sake of my children. I am now in the process of divorce and I am currently working on a book I hope to get published someday. I have family in Nebraska, Idaho, Arizona, and now Texas. I believe a woman is the weaker vessel; born to love, encourage and serve her man.
Is this the mindset of the average 48 year-old? I recently test drove a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT, shiny red with a spoiler. My boss told me, "don't be afraid to really get on it!" I got it up to 120 mph before I had to back off because both lanes ahead had traffic. The speedometer goes to 160 mph, which I certainly would have tried if I had the opportunity. Oh yea, by the way, did you know when you open the sunroof at 120 mph it sounds like a jet taking off?
Because of the way I was raised... I can work hard all day, work like a man - not 9-5, but dawn to dusk, then clean up to a lady out on the town. Cowboy boots, sneakers or high heels, jeans, dress or evening gown, hair up or hair down, I'm usually up to any task at hand. I can operate a circular saw, miter saw, scroll saw, drill, grinder, belt sander, snowblower, lawnmower, weedeater, blower/vac, soldering iron or welder. But I can also operate a washer/dryer, stove, vaccumn, power washer, sewing machine, power painter, computer, video/35mm/digital cameras, character generator, knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery needles, and bead loom. I can cook and I can drive! And I've been doing both since I was 10. I can drive a car, standard or automatic, motorcycle, dump truck, tractor, combine, and I can change the tires, check the oil, pump the gas and wire up a muffler! Short order cook or a gourmet chef. Lean/healthy/diet/clog the arteries. Can/freeze/bake/preserve and I can plant/weed/harvest the garden. I can pick a good piece of meat, on the hoof or in the store! I am like no one you've ever met!
I have raised 3 children. I have twin boys 21, both in the Army. One is Active based in Germany, but now in Iraq! The other is Army Reserve, but called active to Iraq. My daughter is 19, living in Dallas, TX and going to make me a grandma in March!
