Memorial Union: Free live music and a very beautiful view of the lake from here. The library i always go to is just beside it and climbers will meet here every weekend before we leave for Devil's Lake (a park for hiking, climbing and cycling).
State Street: This is the place to window-shop. Mcdonalds, Starbucks, Burger King, bars, restaurants, and coffee houses are all here. Most of the shops will be closed by 9:00pm, even on weekends.
Camp Randall Stadium: Football will be held here almost every alternate week. People are willing to pay $10 just to park somewhere near my apartment before the game because it's just 15 minutes walk.
UW Hospital: There's a very big soccer field opposite the hospital, will be able to see alot of people playing soccer there. Actually i was amazed by the amount of people playing soccer, never thought Americans play it.
Lake Mendota: Sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, canoying and fishing. There is a bike path along the lakeshore for bikes and pedestrians. During winter it will freeze, people will ice skate on it or make a tent and fish in the middle.
My apartment: A very simple place, room big enough to be comfortable, 2 toilets, kitchen, living room, free cable TV and 3 housemates.
