Inscriptions alphabetically arranged of the tombstones in the old cemetery at Stone Church, Northampton County, Pa.
TRANSCRIBED BY MISS KATHRYN ATCHLEY AND WILLIAM ATCHLEY. Published by Rev. W. E. Wenner. Circa 1909. Vernon H. Mauger, printer, Bangor PA.This is a true copy of the booklet. I have personally edited and corrected each entry to be sure that names and dates are as printed in the original booklet that was done by the Atchleys around 1909. They walked the cemetery and recorded data from the stones, many of which may have already been deteriorating and difficult to read. In the last 100 years the stones have continued to deteriorate badly. It is my hope that by publishing this list here the names of our ancestors will be preserved for future generations.

Inscriptions alphabetically arranged of the tombstones in the old cemetery at Stone Church, Northampton County, Pa.
TRANSCRIBED BY MISS KATHRYN ATCHLEY AND WILLIAM ATCHLEY. Published by Rev. W. E. Wenner. Circa 1909. Vernon H. Mauger, printer, Bangor PA.
This is a true transcribed copy of the original book of the tombstone transcriptions copied by the Atchleys in the early 1900's. The last burial in this cemetery was that of Sarah Dildine who died June 15, 1909. Her tombstone inscription does not appear in the booklet. Therefore it can be determined that the Atchley's completed their project prior to her burial.
The stones in this cemetery are rapidly deteriorating. All efforts will be made to link the names on this web pages to pictures of existing stones in the cemetery.
Please visit the web page for The Old Union Cemetery to learn more about the cemetery. I am a member of the board of directors for the cemetery and would be very happy to answer any questions you may have. Additional information or corrections are welcome. Please email me at the address below.
