The driver lost control and hit a pole, on the passenger side of the car. The driver was released Saturday morning from the hospital. This information is from the news and from what the police told my wife, when they came to our home 6:45am Sat. 4-14 I just received the KC newspaper : Fatal Crash A 23 year old Platte City man died and another man suffered minor injuries Saturday morning when their vehicle drove off Brighton Ave. police said. The accident occurred about 3 am The vehicle was traveling north on Brighton near 210 when it swerved to avoid a deer, struck a lightpole and turned over. The passenger, who died was pinned under the car, police said. The driver was treated at a hospital and released. Paramedics pronounced the passenger dead at the scene. Sunday 4-15, 2001 KC Star. | I learned today, that Steve Berck, one of our classmates, has been deployed overseas with the US Navy. His parents are fine with this. I talked to his dad this morning, he is worried, but doing fine. Steve, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care and may God Bless You!! | On March 4 of 2002, Sherry Sanders Walters' sister-in-law passed away. She had been fighting leukemia for 5 yrs or so. She was 35 yrs old. I had the pleasure of knowing Delores thru the band (meZmer). She was a very friendly person and if you were down, she knew how to cheer you up..Sorry to hear this Sherry..Hugs to you and your family. |
