Where did all the plagarised information go to?

Dear delegates,
Information on the presentations as per requested.
1. What is required
You, the delegates, will be telling us what your country's stand on the
issue is. This is the most important aim of the presentation - to make
sure that you know what is going on with the issue at hand and how it
is
relevant to your assigned country. Therefore you will also be explaining
why your country is taking that particular stand.
This is separate from the working papers and resolutions, which we will
introduce in greater detail during the 10 June briefing. These are
documents which are discussed and prepared during the conference itself
so don't worry yourselves unduly about them right now.
2. Structure
Last year we had position papers to fulfil a similar purpose. The
content of the presentation will not be too far off the mark if you
roughly follow the guidelines for a position paper. For those who have
no idea what a position paper is, don't worry. Your presentation should
contain:
A. Brief background on the issue - show us you know what you're talking
about
B. Country's stand on the issue - this should mirror the real world
situation
C. Country's proposed solution to the issue - in addition to being
practical, it should also closely follow what the country _would_
advocate in the real world. For example, Pakistan as an Islamic state
would NOT propose the abolition of syariah law to further the cause of
women's rights.
3. Judging criteria
This is how the presentation will be assessed:
A. Content
- Relevance 20%
whether you are actually dealing with the right issue
- Consistency with
real world country's stand 35%
how closely you adhere to how the country would respond in real life
- Evidence 15%
how well you substantiate what you say
B. Timing 10%
Each council's representatives from a team should take between 5 and 10
minutes to present both issues for that council.
C. Style 20%
How well you make yourself understood - speaking clearly, etc. Flashy
multimedia aids not required although overhead and LCD projectors will
be provided if you have a Powerpoint presentation prepared.
That's about all where the presentations are concerned. If you have
further queries, please e-mail this list or contact your liaison
officers. We hope to see you on 10 June.
