Marle, she is from 1000AD, same as Crono... She really likes Crono, as its pretty obvious throughout the game. Marle is a good character cause of her magic, thats about it... but she and Lucca can make a great combo together.

We meet Marle at the festival, rather she meets us. She runs into Crono and her pendant goes missing. She has a few sidequests all that are OK, she joins the party to be free from her royal life and also very obviously because of Crono...
