Crono:

Crono is the main character of the game. From 1000AD, he is a great character to have on the team, I for like him a lot, especially because of his weapon, the Katana. He is really good overall too.

Crono you meet right at the beginning of the game, so no discussion there, he has many quests and probably will end up being your best character, or at least one of them.
