Additional comments:

I have crohns. Crohns does NOT have me!!

Crohn's (and severe UC) can be life-threatening and/or life-interrupting for short periods.

Got a comment from someone saying they were impressed! Hmm...don't know if they meant with Terry's survey questions or with my survey form LOL!!!

I try to ignore it, but sometimes it's hard.

My experience with Crohns is that while a great deal of the time I am able to live a pretty normal life, there are times when I have to stop living that normal life. When I am sick, I can't really work or play.... I have to be constantly aware that I may need to be at a hospital real quick... On the other hand, having Crohns had made me more appreciative of the good times and has forced me to take better care of myself...

Crohn's is annoying as is any chronic illness. I guess I could say it was life-changing but then I was so young when it started I really had no prior life to compare. And, it is interrupting, just when things get good WHAMMO. And, at times I like to ignore it. Hey, how did I pick a box ... maybe just the flavor of the day?

Crohn's has made me more aware of how life can change so I don't take life for granted anymore. I find I am a more understanding person and listen to other peoples problems now even though I know I can't fix them.

Really I'd have to say 3 out of 4 here.

If anyone fits in the life ignoring category I wouldn't believe it and I would like to know what kinda crack they're smoking. Just poking fun! Our disease for me fits in the "chronic illness" category and could be in the "life threatening" category if you are not medicated or not aware of the sometimes "symptoms that need looked at" right away or you may die.
